My daughter was telling me the other day that when she worked for the Vet Surgery the day the NBN guy came to install there NBN he asked how was there internet connection , when they said good he replied " I'm here to ruin it for you"[bigrolf]

The NBN installer arrives tomorrow morning to see if fixed wireless NBN will work here.
Hope we have a better experience than when we had NBN installed at our previous house in Brisbane.
It doesn't seem that difficult a job.
Here, the bloke climbed on to the gable roof,moved his phone or other test instrument around to check signal strength. Sent his readings off to who knows where, got the ok & bunged a tripod & Antenna on the roof pointing far away to a tower at Lenswood (so he said????)
Service is certainly constant but can be a bit slow at times, (depends on quantity of users & who digs up & repairs the FO cable this week), school holidays etc etc.
This happened recently & we were without BB & phone for 4 days. Thank goodness we both have Mobiles.

I have been working through the process to replace the clutch on the old 110 HCPU while in lock down.
Been a few years since it was done and the old 110 has done a lot of heavy work carrying 1000 litre loads of water out to a build site lately as well as towing 2.5 tonne diggers and loaders about the place too. Stripped it down over the last five days in and out of the rain. Found it was a necessary replacement and glad of the time to be doing the work.
Came to replace the spigot bearing. This is in a 110 I had transplanted a Nissan LD28 into back in 2009. At the time I last did the clutch about 2014 or so, I needed to get the LD28 flywheel recentred to suit the spigot bush. Had a steel insert pushed in and had them then turn it out to suit the land rover spigot bush (or so I thought) and had them press that in as well. Turns out, they must have turned the bush down to suit the steel insert but I didn't realise this at the time.
Roll on 2021 and now we are in lockdown (and no motor machinists are open), I have the gear boxes out, cleaned up, resealed and ready to go in and I go to start fitting the clutch. Needed to remove the flywheel to get the damn spigot bush out. I tried the in situ hydraulic method but had smoke or steam coming off the grease from the big hammer.
Go to remove the fly wheel and tapped the old spigot out only to find the standard land rover spigot bush is 27mm dia and the flywheel centre was machined out to 26.6mm last time... damn motor machinists last time messed it up so it was still non-standard sizes. Hoping tonight's move (in NZ) to Level 3 allows motor machinists to return to work tomorrow.

I just had a drive in a Morgan Plus 4. Struggled to get in and out, could barely use the clutch without coming to an emergency stop and found the steering extremely heavy. It was disappointing but at the same time, a hoot.
My absolute dream car is an XK 150, I hope I never get the opportunity to drive one and shatter the illusion.

For those that don't know an XK 150 is a Jaguar and I do like the XK's more than just about everyone's favourite the E-type. Another one of my odd likes is how most think a Fiat 500 is a cool car, a modern version of which can still be getting around sometimes, but I prefer the old "Topolino"
Speaking of Fiat 500's. This is one I would love to get my hands on - it has a Lamborghini V12 in it. You can find some YouTube videos of it running on the track. Looks like fun.
