Some Bastard washed a Landrover?
A decent storm came through here about 17.30, still got no power. It's as black as the inside of a Billy goat.
How did you fare, Saitch? Wait til I see Robmacca next.

Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.
Couldn't be bothered Paul, got plenty of grub that doesn't need power for preparation and ny trusty SES pen with a torch, so I can write in the dark.
Energex's flashy and expensive website, no doubt maintained by big mob of overpaid IT "experts", is totally useless.
Yeah, I know I have no power, it makes no difference to my situation how many other customers are affected. All I want to know is when do they estimate resumption of service. I wouldn't even mind if they said sorry, were doing our best, but we have no idea how long.
I don't need to be updated every hour, just to remind me that I have no powe, nor do 215 other customers.
I've a good mind to send Robmacca a stern PM.
What's the point of having mates in the game, if they can't pull strings for you?

Aforementioned trusty pen.

We had a 'Planned Outage' for 6 hours, last Thursday. Our abode's switch box has a 15A plug and controller for the 6kva genny, so not an issue.
We did have a 30 second loss of power last night, but all good after that. (Robmacca may have had to turn the operating manual page?)
Nice rain, too.
We've had 177mm since the First of November. The dam has come up about 2'.

Robmacca must be playing favourites.

Melbournes current effort at rain..... IS not rain, Can the weatherman up in QLD explain to the Melbourne guy about what rain is...
cause at the moment I've been spending a week with this insidious part way between a misted fog and a light drizzle that I can not work in, its utter crap of rain..
Its not heavy enough that it falls and you can defeat it by putting up a sloped tarp to have somewhere dry to work, its not light enough that you can just ignore it body heat and a slightly waterproof jecket enough
the slightest breeze drives it sidways, it soaks everything, it wafts in doorways and windows, your socks, the pockets of your jacket And it comes with just enough breeze to chill you. Put on enough waterproof stuff to keep dry and your arms are too fat to work or they keep getting caught on stuff and then your wet anyway from your own sweat, Anything light enough that you can sweat through lets the rain in and the breeze past so your cold.
I dont have a fireplace... so sitting by a wram fire place with a book and a brandy is out....
Im going to the couch with the latest mattew reilly and something streaming in the backround to drown out the chinese water torture like incessent dripping off the gutters and trees onto the concrete.
The world can catch me tomorrow or when the sun comes out. bloody melbourne "summer"
