How do you feel about "Buy one, Get one?" I think they must have been hauled over the Coals for misrepresenting & using the word 'Free'.

    12 p.m. and 12 a.m. Impossible times as 12 is the meridian.

I laugh when weather heads state something like "Sunrise will be at 4:35 a.m." Really, a.m.! Thank god for that.

SH, I am glad you have raised the point re sunrise. Been puzzled on this one for years but couldn't really give a **** to find out until now. Q. When sunrise time is given, is the time given (a) The time the sun crosses the SA/Vic State border? (b) The time it is visible on the high ground? (c) The time it is seen at the beach/plains. Obviously it can't be seen all at the same time at different places but in my case I would see the sunrise before those on the plains especially when residents live close in to the hills bases if you get my drift. Or is there an average taken for all the above situations. Serious question or three although it might sound a bit dumb. Thanks.

    Red light runners.

This afternoon, at 4 sets of lights I saw red light runners. Not just amber but fully red where, at one set of lights, I had a green and cars cut across my bow.

At another set of lights, I stopped on the amber, and two cars behind me swerved around me to go through the red.

At the next set of lights, I stopped for the amber, and 4 cars from behind me went through, two on the amber, two on the red.

Sometimes I wish the HWP were around.

Being a motorcyclist, I am very wary at traffic lights. Every day I see red light runners.

At work we have a common printer. It has 3 trays. A sign on the printer says “please fill the paper tray if you use the last of the paper”.

I regularly try and print - only to find that there is no paper in any of the 3 x 500 sheet trays..

Oh - the refills are sitting next to the printer..

    Grumpy....

A propos the discussion on redundancy earlier in this thread,(P.I.N Number, B.A.S. statement etc.), the word "Sahara" in the local idiom means "desert" so if

you've been to the Sahara you have been there once but apparently if you have been to the Sahara Desert you've been there twice !!!

Obviously your workplace is full of the me, me, me culture which seems to be so popular these days. When they obviously last used the printer they must have just loaded the sheets they needed. As you said, Selfish ******!

EDITED. And when you do take off I guess you look to the left & look to the right (TWICE) before doing so? Something we were taught as little kids in fact there was a little ditty saying just that. I think Arthur Askey was behind it. Arthur whoooooo?

^^ I certainly do - and in front for cars turning across my path.

At a local highway crossroad intersection, the two side streets have stop signs. Several times in recent months I've had to hit the brakes when crossing the highway to the opposite side street because cars have done a right turn across my path.
