Selling a few things. Old 2004 Lexus for a few K was taken with a load of thanks. A few sheets of perspex started a trend of tire kickers I got tired of quickly. I was selling at less than a 1/3rd of the pice they cost new and they ar new and unused. They sold after an hour of my life I want back.50 odd tier kickers in those two sales.
Put a bike up today with a "No Questions or time wasters Please" First few questions were reasonable about the gear set and real details so I did respond. Then came a ripper. Sam said he bet he could ride my bike faster than me with it as a prize?
Took me a few minutes then the GRUMP in me gave in. I gave him just a few juicy details of some injuries I have asking if he wanted some photos I do not share as they give people nightmares. Sam did not stop and told me how fast he was over 120km or so. The time was a fair bit slower than I used to travel at honest
I refrained from sending pics as he may be a kidTen tire kickers who clearly do not want to see the bike. I did mention I would not sell my bike to him. He sounds hurt.

Had Dalmatians as they could run me into the ground. Current Golden retriever would like the Dalmatians only lick you to death. A few navy boys I mentioned Sam to want me to send the pics
I had a used queen mattress which I put on gumtree for free.
Actually gone within 15mins of posting.
I gave a very good description of it in the ad , but you should have seen the responses and questions I was asked. I took the ad down about 15mins after the guy came and picked it up.
I kind of wonder what people expect when something is advertised for free. One woman actually asked me if I'd deliver it across Brisbane.
Btw, the replies kept coming for 2 days.
I was going to advertise a number of aquariums, I have a lot, but I don't know if I could go through with the public response.
Gave up trying to sell unused and second hand stuff , either put it in the recyclable section of the local tip or bin it if i cant give it away . last thing i tried to sell was a fridge for $50 just to get it sold never again .
We sold a ride-on mower to the first inquirer at the asking price this week, no worries.
Yrs ago in another life i remember it was a pain the arse writing letters etc and was a real treat to be able to talk to people on the phone , usually on Sundays when it was cheap , now when phone calls are virtually free , now we only seem to be interested in text & messages at arms length . We really are becoming more isolated as technology advances , don't even try to explain this to the grandies .
**** i must be getting old.
