Thanks Mark for that confidence boost. Made a little headway. But after hitting SEND the next screen that pops up is the Bubble/Screen & there doesn't seem to be a way of continuing. Home Buton? Nope, that just brings up the time & date, batt & signal strength. Compose screen disappears.

On mine the cancel button does not cancel.



My niece is coming this arvo so I will ask her to see if if her 4 year old daughter can sort it.
I'm still wondering if it is Ver. 12.1 as online HELP screens still look like the previous screens (3gs ) & simple. My one seems to have no bearing to those Oh for the good olde days?

EDIT #2. Why the hell they have placed the grey dots & the green arrow so close together is anyone's guess? On the homeward stretch now.

FWIW, I was still doing it cactus through misunderstanding, but have got it by the goolies now. Ver. 12.1 is a totally different screen & different to what went before & that is where the trouble lay. Online help based their "help" on the old screen. ****wits!

I have a 5s and just upgraded it to 12.5.3 a couple of days ago, gratis from Apple.

The notifications will show up in settings, you just need an independent wifi source to do it.

Thanks, I think. Not used to having loads of Menus & Selections it got a bit confusing. But I'm right now.


I liken it to taking one's F1 Car to the shops when the old FJ would do the trick.

I found that I can't send e-mails with VPN switched on. that's a pain in the freckle too.

I'm using Express, and Gmail and Big Pond work ok with it.

Is it all search engines that ask or only google?

Duck duck go

Duck Duck Go works without verification that I am, in fact, human, but it doesn't search as well as Google IME.
