Gold is over $4200 aud an ounce now, which is more than 30 piglets at $80 each

I have a new gold pan I picked up a week ago. My horse stood on my last one on the side of our dam

The Nuclear news in Kazakhstan shutting a huge uranium mine JV with a Candian company made me 8000+ piglets yet over night and hold on when the yanks wake up in a few hours

I will enjoy grabbing a few more ounces over the next few weeks in the Central Vic gold fields on or near family farms. Rabbitts, yabbies, blackberries and mulberries with my gold AUD$ Live Gold Price Australia | ABC Bullion

As this is a grumpy thread should I be grumpy I sold gold at $800+ per ounce in the 1980s before my horse issue ????????

It must be good having creeks and dams nearby with gold in them, the creek at the back of our place is tidal, so no gold but the mud crabs have been firing for the last 2 to 3 months. the recent rains have pushed them out towards the mouth and are easier to catch. Got these 4 yesterday and hope for another 4+ today. Bugger, for some reason it wont let me show my mud crab photo.

The water used makes all the difference. Used to be able to have VB on tap at a pub near where I lived in London many years ago. When friends visited from Australia would walk down to the local pub for a meal and a drink. When asked what beer to order would recommend VB as it tasted nothing like what you got in Australia and was actually one you could choose based on taste rather than there being no other option

I was born in Yorkshire ( Sheffield ) mum was an Aussie war bride, Dad was a pommy sailor. They came back to Australia when I was 2, so I have no idea what's it like. All 4 Australian born sisters went over but I have never bothered, couldn't care less.

PS I hate pommie war ships- Just Kidding HMAS Vampire ( Sydney Maritime museum ) was one of my babies. The Bunk I slept in (???) is at least 10 cm shorter than I am honestly. The DDGs and FFGs I was on latter allowed me to lay down flat

Get help. We want to see your crabs as long as your not chatting about pubic lice which none of us want to see

The old mans rank was a stoker but I don't think he shoveled any coal he was an entertainer, a very good comedian. He came out to Brisbane for whatever and spent most of his war at a Naval base at Salisbury, Brisbane. I think he was Merchant Navy. I still cant get the photos up they are stuck in the attachments section. I haven't had this problem before.

Oh, there they are, we got a few more the next day. There is the photo of Mum and Dad in 1945 at the little church opposite BSHS where I went to high school.
