Perhaps try and source some line from an old, Chinese railway? Probably easier to drill.

But wear more rapidly in use. And in any case I already have these. I think from memory they are made by BHP, I would guess in the '50s, and from quite a tough steel. Certainly I have been using the drag for around thirty years with minimal wear.

Yes,but a good fitter welder, could probably get you a nice hole where needed with an oxy set and the right cutting tip.

Yes, but I no longer have oxy, and can't justify getting it just for this job.

Weld and heavily gusset with E7016 (low hydrogen) rods.

Right at the moment I cannot even think about welding or using oxy outdoors due to the fire risk. There is supposed to be rain on Thursday, but the last two lots of forecast rain have simply not happened.

In any case, the fuel supply situation suggests I will not be able to use it for a while, so it will become a more long term project.

Again and again and again....- My ID for the same twits who give it to me

Just gave a pic of myself and my Medicare card for Proof of Identity - No issue EXCEPT the state gov paid site lists the prior 6 times they have done this on me over the last several years. The same data again and again. Yet just for fun this time they "unPit2work" suggested the photo was cropped so I needed to submit another one!
Proving I am an Aussie citizen more than ONCE with my Passport, Drivers License, Working with Children and Medicare card for the gov type that created my birth certificate, drivers license and working with children check card and more is moronic plus!

Worse is its not just one level of 'intelligence' Local, state and fed do it. Fed had mygov id so is just a bit better now if you can get it working.

Laws and rulz- Try just Once only and never for the stuff they issue to us- I would vote for that

PS it was for a transfer of a volunteer role that made the inane obvious again

MyGov Id is JT. It works well unless you play soccer with a fire truck and fire hoses as I found out Fixed that after a few weeks
