We got a free one from Telsta and our 5 year old grandson caught on to "OK google tell me a funny joke" very bloody quickly. Even BAD bon bon jokes are good by comparison. About the only thing we use it for is timers and alarms. Who knows what google use it for.....

    Turned it off ...

Got given a Google one two Christmases ago - kids had fun with it but once all the privacy issues and breaches became public I unplugged it.

Haha haha. Posts on forum... worried about privacy.

No doubt have a mobile, use a laptop, quite like have a Credit or Debit card.

You’re being watched, observes, listened too... all the time.

The privacy issues were locked pretty damn quick.

My mobile isn’t listening to me.

    How can you be sure?
It would definitely be tracking your movements and reporting them to advertisers.
Go into Westfield shopping centres and the centre also tracks your movements.
If you have a Smart TV it could be watching you and reporting your viewing habits to various companies.
    Privacy is dead.

I turned all that off - Google does not know where I am. I also don’t get targeted advertisements.

Speaking of which, why, when I’m on Aulro, do I get ads for Russian girlfriends? What are you guys doing?

Advertisements are driven by the user, not the forum.

That information is classified, if you learn the answer you'll have to 'get in the van'. Got a Google Home from secret santa.

Actually no, it's not, it's on YouTube.

    YouTube

Just disconnect your TV from the internet if you want privacy. Of course, your laptop and mobile will still be spying on you.
