    Pickles.
Mind sharing which part of the story was a "beatup?" There was a fire, there were people injured, and there were homes damaged. Not once was climate change mentioned, some people here are barking at shadows. They should concentrate on the main game and stop trying to cause trouble.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Coles donate more than $ 3 million in gift cards to volunteer fire fighters. That should just be the start of Australians showing their appreciation.

This applies especially to the Great Western Highway, the Princes Highway and the Hume. because of this, alternative routes are likely to have heavier than normal traffic, in some cases leading to very slow progress, especially if there is an accident or a new fire.

The general recommendation for today from the NSW RFS is "Stay where you are unless you have to drive to escape fire threats". This applies especially to anyone wanting to leave Greater Sydney.
Thanks JD ,if one person is helped by this information , that's a positive.

Sure it was Horrific But it had bugger all to do with the weather like the news article alluded to, Are the climate change zealots going to link EVERY fire to "Climate Change" regardless of the cause of the fire now??
True, fire started by someone doing something really ****ing stupid. Just made a warm day even hotter in the immediate vicinity.

At the risk of sounding flippant at what was a serious event, (Moi? Heaven forbid) when I first read that heading I thought "OMG they are having an early Xmas Dinner when some Firey has burst in & ordered everyone outside "but leave Seafood".

Of course that was not what was said. Was it? Maybe they got the message incorrect & caused an unnecessary stir &/or the Firey wanted a bit of free grub.

Sorry but you can see what older age does to my nut, can't you? [insert tongue in cheek emoji here]

just got home from an overnight strike team.
overall its ,looking a lit better. minimal flame. lots of mopping up and reconstruction required.

but... this really gets my goat. in some of the fire impacted towns, there are generators powering street lights. they are chained to stobie poles. some people have been using bolt cutters and stealing the generators.

OK, lets sort this out. Tell everyone where the story " alluded " to climate change, FFS.This is the second time you have misquoted one of my posts. If you can't point out the reference to climate change, very politely I request you pull your head in. And if you think quoting that the temp was going to be 42degrees, is the reference, obviously you agree climate change caused it.
Seaford residents have been urged to leave the area after a gas cylinder exploded, sparking a fire at a former factory that ignited a bushfire nearby.
Multiple structures are now alight, with 23 firetrucks and police on the scene. The fire has spread to grassland and vacant industrial buildings nearby.

The bushfire is now travelling south west from from Webb Street, Seaford toward Dandenong Frankston Road. Embers are starting fires up to 1 kilometre in front of the main blaze.

Another fire has ignited in the nearby Bunarong Park, with a watch and act also issued for the area.
It is one of three significant fires burning across Victoria.
In the state's west, a watch and act warning has been issued for a fire burning west of Dunkeld. A wind change is expected for later in the evening that could push the fire toward the Grampians.
A watch and act has also been issued for a fire in Brookville in the state's east, where a blaze has ignited and is travelling north toward the town.

I did NOT "missquote" your post at all, I called the artical that you posted as a media "Beat Up" which it obviously was.
Now crawl back under your bridge ya troll and leave us honest folk alone
I am getting sick and tired of your personal attacks and the next one will be reported, So maybe YOU should pull your head in
