Thread: Building a bearing press / shop press for LR work - what dimensions shall I make it?

    I could not be bothered stuffing around I just bought one from SuperCheap Auto and modified it to press the bearings on longer axles. Use it at least weekly Been a sterling performer . Anything it cant do the local engineer has a 100T press.

    What ever you build / buy measure it carefully.

    Mate bought a 20T ebay job for general workshop duties. It can't do suspension bushes because it is not possible to position the LCA's squarely within the press because of the shape of the arms.
