Its a long story but i dont have a life so i will tell you.

It all started in 2003 when i used trips to the movies as bribes to make the 4 boys in my Yr11 Chemistry class work harder, in return for certain grades i would transport them to a movie in bathurst (60km away there isnt one in lithgow) we would see the movie and then i would drop them home. On the way to the first movie i took them to they asked me what they should call me as "Sir" or "Mr Holden" seemed weird and it would be embarrassing from my point of view being seen at the movies being followed around by 4 17yr old boys calling me sir. So i blirted out Ace as a joke, that came from Rimmer the hollogram in Red Dwarf taking on the Alter ego Ace the fighter pilot whenever he has his fear removed by a monster or the like. It was only a joke but it stuck and all the kids called me that so all my school jumpers have ace on the back and now my forum name is that, it was taken on Overlander and 4wdmonthly but i got it here. since i first went to school i've been called just about every bastardisation of my surname. barney, barnesy, barnabus, barnwald....the list goes on, but barney pretty well stuck through high school and beyond. the five years between my older brother and i made him a barnesy, and my wife gets called barnesy.
mum used to call me 5h1thead!

Well, I am a life member of AMTRA, Australian Motorcycle Trail Riders Association, in Vic, so amtravic1. Bikes came (just) before 4wds but now there is both although I dont bounce very well anymore so now I prefer 4wds . www.amtra.com.au
