Rang Qld Health today and got an appointment to get my first Phizer jab this Sat within a reasonable drive of my workplace so it seems that people can get the jab fairly quickly if they want (and Astra even quicker). Cheers
But why do they need a longer Consult? I thought the standard Short Consult would have taken care of a vax session.

It is only the "Patient" who needs to wait for a 1/4 hour safety margin in a separate waiting area & the staff are not holding your hand. So why? Not even a cuppa of your Finest Bushells.

The longest part for us was the questionarre filled out on line. Didn't see a GP, as the jab was done at the Brighton Medical Centre, Sandgate elected not to do it. Just had a printed out medical record from my GP to present to the nurse , had no chronic conditions on it, she handed it back and jabbed me.
