Update, new covid restrictions.;
New Sydney Covid lockdown restrictions: latest update to NSW coronavirus rules explained (msn.com)
Yes true, but dont forget the stupid Victorians who returned with Covid but would not stay in lockdown and went out shopping and spread it around and the Govt, that even though Covid was around, allowed the footie and the rugby to go ahead and has now become super spreader events.
Good news is the positive truckie who overnighted at the northbound Ampol service centre at Chindereh apparently didn't enter Qld and so didn't trigger a Qld border closure.
Sad news is another older person has died in Sydney.
Imagine being in the UK or Indonesia where they are recording over 50,000 cases every day!
At its peak I think the daily infection rate in the UK was about 65,000 per day earlier this year. After lifting the restrictions shortly, the UK Govt has indicated that it expects infection rate to be up around 100,000 but are relying on the vaccination rate to ensure death rates remain low.
I hope they are right but is a hell of a risk.
In Indonesia, they are finding that SinoVax does not work well and many people (including their medical staff) are dying despite being full vaccinated - some country in South America (Chile?) who use SinoVax are also finding the same thing so it would seem SinoVax is dodgy.
What happened to the Russian Sputnik Vax - dont hear of it now - another that does not seem to work.
