And Qld has a community case. She was notified that Young & Jacksons was a tier 1 site, got tested , came back negative, but didn't isolate for 14 days , as is the rule. Went to the Sunshine coast, then flew to Mareeba, where she tested Positive. Now we wait.;

WA and some other states at various times have been doing it for ages.....No court challenge as yet

It's been happening for ages. If it's not legal I'm sure someone will contest it at some point, but particularly in a State of Emergency all sorts of extra powers are available to the Governments and Police.

Didn't Clive Palmer take the WA Gov to court over border closures early on? And I assume lost.

But he wasn't a resident trying to get home. I'm not sure it is legal to prevent someone from returning to their place of abode. You are effectively making them homeless.
