As John said, we don't test for it, the reduction has been due to the Covid restrictions and social distancing - it's made a huge difference this year to the Flu and something we should continue with as a society from no onwards IMO and we'd reduce this ongoing, as well as common colds, etc.

We are lucky in that all our governments decided quite early in the piece to be guided by medical and epidemiological advice. OK, some of the actions have not been perfect, but if you look around the world, Australia and Australians have by and large "done the right thing" compared to most overseas countries. You have to look hard to find many that have done better or even nearly as well.

And by far the majority of the population has mostly obeyed the necessary restrictions.

Front page of a paper us mere mortals do not see usually has a young Doctor here who got Covid19. The after effect for him are shocking (Australian Doctor Could not find a online version of the news sorry)

The short term pain of a boarder Bob? You and I both spent several months away at a time all in our little Steel time capsules [thumbsupbig] I did 3 year straight with no winter- Child/teen abuse. I love snow skiing [biggrin] The fallen and runways who tried what we did is a big enough list to know it was not for everyone. I suspect the loudest complaints might come from the people who might not cope with 6 months in a leaky boat?

A little pain for a big gain I think. Poor Doctor will never ride a bike or drive again. He is a lot younger than I am. [bigsad] Paid a big price actually helping Australians with Covid19.

I am a tiny target Ian. You in your BIG wheels are oddly as much a target sir. Just you get to see much more of our beautiful country. Suspect I can predict what might kill me- its a sad selfish addiction to try and run sub 3 hours. 1 million is about...1m more than should have died.

The intense farming practices in the US in particular feeding viruses via export animals back to China, combined with Chinese population density and food prep heigine issues (wet markets) is something that needs to be looked at far more closely.
