btw, provocateur means agent inciting criminal behavior, which is very different to trolling.

Could this be a situation of the troll trolling about the definition of troll?

I don't consider Eevo to be a "troll" he just enjoys a bit of **** stirring from time to time, He can't help it it is just the way he is.
I am certain that he doesn't intentionally mean any disrespect or insult with some of his posts he just reacts Differently to others which is Not necessarily a Bad thing

Totally agree, Trout! Sometimes threads here can get somewhat tedious, to say the least.

I’m less than impressed to be honest.

SARS-CoV was an original design, been around for years. This new SARS-CoV-2 is nothing like the original and should never have been named the same.

People will turn away in droves from this new version as it just isn’t a real SARS and the fact that in this modern age anyone would consider a SARS-CoV-2 a real Coronavirus just shows how disconnected from the public these Virus’ really are.

Perhaps the value of the original SARS will now rise as people decide this new one is too complex.

Regardless, we must just do the best we can, flattening the curve helps resources meet cases.

And as we all know, as time goes on - progress is made in treating/halting these outbreaks.
Yes, and also depends on how the Death Certificates are written. I understand in Italy, if an expired patient has tested positive for Beer Bug, then that is written up as 'Cause of Death', - even if they fell out of a window. But I agree that numbers in reality and what we're eventually told, might be wildly apart.

One can also hope that using ascorbic acid, as the Chinese are apparantly doing, as part of the (medicinal) therapy will become accepted.

Pity that around 90+% is manufactured in.... China.

SWMBO had part of her school quarantined this afternoon when a parent wandered into the school to enquire when she could deposit her child. She didn't know what was going on as she had only arrived from Thailand on the weekend . Duly reported to the office who were going to escalate non compliance with self isolation but who knows whether it will be followed up?

    Complete and utter idiocy.
So .... the current tally is now 133, including one dead.

And they went home by public transport in Sydney because they were told that would be OK. And some then flew back interstate or overseas, because they were told that was OK.

And the health officials knew days ago that there were more than 3 or 4 sick on the ship, it was a dozen or more.

And the route was “low risk” because it was going to NZ - but 33% of the passengers were from OS, including countries like the UK with high rates of infection, and they clearly weren’t screened when they flew into Australia or when they got on the boat.

    As the BBC says:

Coronavirus: How did Australia's Ruby Princess cruise debacle happen? - BBC News

If each person on that ship that we already know has COVID-19 infects just 3 others then NSW is in a full blown pandemic and the genie really has gotten out of the bottle.

Breakthrough at a Sydney hospital will make it easier to slow down the community spread of the disease. As for Eevo, every comedian knows that timing is everything. I guess that will come with experience. We all have to realise every one is under some stress, some more than others. Even the best joke will fall flat under those circumstances. Every one take a deep breath, and smile.

    Our political classes

There have been a number of issues in the last few weeks where what the relevant governments should’ve done - cancelled the Melbourne Grand Prix weeks before they did, close Crown Casino and stop cruise ships entering central Sydney - are so blindingly obvious that you’d wonder how the correct decisions weren’t made.

My suspicion is that our political classes - and I’m including all parties in this - have such an entrenched attitude of doing deals with vested interests and are so beholden to those vested interests and their special pleading that they are actually incapable of making the right decisions in what is now a unique and extraordinary time. And because of that far more people are going to die than would have been the case.

Oh, and you can add to that list above quietly letting in 30,000 Chinese students without quarantining them (because the students said that they’d done it OS and the Universities have been complaining non-stop about their loss of fees) and allowing cruise ship passengers to fly in and go straight to the ships - through the streets of Australian cities - and the continuing failure to check the health of disembarking passengers at the airports.
