It seems that the removalists did nothing illegal when they were doing their best to spread the coronas, although cooperating with authorities might have got things cleaned up quicker.

Masks beneficial to combat community transmission of COVID-19 | Australian Government Department of Health

Preventing the spread | Lung Foundation Australia

There are about 100 others from international studies too that say similar things - primarily mask wearing stops the virus from becoming airborne when someone with it breaths out through droplets and the recent results back from Victoria on how effective this is in preventing the spread backs this up.

Would love to see your sources of info showing the opposite - links please.
Ok here you go… it’s very clear:

    https://www.health.gov.au/sites/defa...use-them_0.pdf

Masks clearly protect the wearer too, in fact as the attached clearly shows, P2/N95 masks offer the best for protection for the wearer. Surgical type masks are primarily designed to prevent droplet spread, but also provide some protection for the wearer.

It’s an undeniable fact, face masks prevent transmission of covid both ways.

But that’s not what you posted - you said droplet spread was misinformation. You could just say you got it wrong and thanks for the input but you’re changing your story now and doubling down which just makes it look worse IMO.

The links I posted clearly showed there is some protection for the wearer as well but that’s not what we were discussing based on your misinformed post.

Here’s a screenshot to remind you of what you said that started the multiple posts from multiple others helping you clarify things.

Oh thank you very much, because I can’t read what I wrote?

    What I wrote was

Which is true. The majority of people primarily wear a mask to prevent them catching the virus. The majority of us don’t have the virus.

…Nowhere did I say masks weren’t also for preventing spread of the virus. That’s obvious. Nor did I say droplet spread was misinformation. On the contrary I said “you breath out of your nose too”.

As I’ve said now on three occasions, masks prevent virus transmission in both ways. This is clearly backed up by the attachment in my previous post, which you seem to have ignored, even though you asked for it!

Now can you guys just wear your masks over your nose too? I don’t want you to catch the virus. …or give it to me.

Covid can also enter through the eyes, which is why face shields are worn in hospitals.

Thanks Mick, yes correct. We should all be wearing face shields too.

I said non-citizens, which includes Kiwis.
Total short-term visitor arrivals were up 32,000 in May compared with the previous May.
The ABS figures don't show the total HQ numbers because no-one collects those figures. The federal government's own National Inquiry into HQ couldn't even get those figures. Each state collects figures individually.
The National Inquiry into HQ said it was able to establish there were 7363 international arrivals in the 14-28 August 2020 period. Kiwis were not allowed in at that time. So there must have been at least that many HQ places then.
Stephen Miles said recently the federal government was allowing about 2000 non-citizens (not including Kiwis) in each week, from the UK 600, China 500, Indonesia 300, USA 250, Philippines 200 and South Africa 115.
Other states, particularly Victoria and Western Australia, also called for non-citizen international arrivals to be cut.
Miles also said the federal government was allowing about 46,000 people to leave Australia weekly, which boosted the number wanting to come back later. McGowan in WA has made the same complaint.
At the time of calling for a reduction in numbers, Qld said it had 15 full HQ hotels and was seeking more hotels. Last week people landing in Brisbane were being sent to the Sunshine Coast because Brisbane's HQ hotels were full.
Kiwis were only exempted from HQ from late April, which means some Kiwis would still have been in HQ during part of May.
So, while it's hard to pinpoint exact figures because they are not being released, I think the states had plenty of grounds for complaining that rising arrivals were swamping the capacity of the HQ system.

hard to take them seriously when the qld premier goes overseas for non-essential travel and gets preferential treatment coming back.
