Coronavirus and your mail.
Can can you catch coronavirus from the mail? And is the post office safe?
It all depends on how much testing is done. The more they test the more positive cases they will find.

Will coronavirus get worse as winter sets in? - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
Agree that the numbers in China would be ... umm ... dubious at best. They have approx 56x the population of Australia and approx 4.5x the population of the US, as of today (27/04) we have a little over 2,800 comfirmed cases. As China has been through the worst (it would seem) a similar position in their timeline to our current position would be 56x 2800 is 156,800. And as many in China live with only the very basics in hygiene and communication, I feel "the Party" will never reveal the true scale of what went on there.
I know they shut the place down but it would only have taken a handful of individuals to travel outside those metropolitan areas to rural settings before this time to allow the spread to go unchecked through populations that may have more underlying conditions that present higher risk with sparse health care availability.
There have been "stories" of mass cremations in China but this has not been confirmed and I don't believe it will be proved true or false given the way they control the flow of information. Futher, I don't believe that they have been completely honest with the WHO, in terms of souces, numbers (infected and deaths), as well as providing information/research on cures and/or preventatives.
And what of North Korea which, I believe, relies heavily on China. There has been no information of numbers from Nth Korea and I don't believe that their border with China is as closed as it is with Sth Korea. They play their cards even closer to their chest than China.
Anyway, this will end, it is just how much damage will be done to populations and economies.
I continue to be alarmed at the irresponsible "she'll be right mate", "I'm not gonna let a ****ing virus stop me from what I wanna do", and also some who simply live in dreamland, and others who are still out there, coughing on people, getting too close etc etc. All of these people are helping the virus to spread, with very little, if any, punishment.
China has, maybe, (according to who you believe) got on top of it, apparently with very draconian measures,.....I'm not sure whether we in Aussie are prepared to accept, or are even capable of, such measures, or even in some cases "do as we're told".
The easiest way to beat the virus is to isolate, stay at home,...the theory is if ya're not infected, if ya stay at home, ya've got a good chance of being ok. That is what I'm doing, I'm staying home. Absolutely boring, a horrible way to spend the day, but the best & safest way for Karen & I.
My belief is that if we don't "isolate" (and all that it means), the consequences for Aussie are unthinkable.
