Decided to take a small holiday. Flights to Wuhan were surprisingly cheap.

One of the girls on the ward last night showed me a video taken by a friend of hers who's trapped in China which would cast doubt on the figures and trends being reported.
I'm not sure this is going away any time soon. From what I've seen it's a delicate balance between "flattening the curve" and creating "herd immunity" to prevent it recurring. Fun times ahead.

We've had a win and gotten on Monday night's sailing.
So we've gone from April 24 back to 16, then to 2 and now to Monday the 30th.
Gotta say, the people on the Spirit's phone lines have been excellent to deal with. Very friendly and helpful despite being swamped with callers.
Our situation is complicated by having my 88 year old FIL with us. He needs the isolation of a cabin and a night's sleep to cope with the rest of the long journey home.
We're also over the 2.1 metre height limit, so in the tall vehicles section, and almost 9 metres long with the camper, so that limited our options.
So now to get off the boat on Tuesday morning and zoom out of Victoria by later in the day, heading for Lismore and then Maleny, to hide out until the country stops being crazy.
Already planning to come back to Tassie next year and see the rest of the state in normal conditions.
