I had plenty of fish and meat in the freezer But I have shared it with some of my family because they were finding it tough to get any at the supermarket So now i have to do a kill and stock up on fish..
I dont have to leave the property to do a kill But to get to the beach I have to travel 10 to 15k which incidentally is closer than going to the nearest shops in town which I am allowed to do.

My question about if fishing was 'essential' travel was appropriate because that question is the one everyone should be asking themselves.
The government direction is to go home and stay home unless the travel is essential.

G'Day Dave. I reckon that if someone makes an "objectionable" comment, just give 'em a holiday for a couple of weeks. Maybe one warning,....they'll soon learn.

If its black and white for a misconduct offence I don't think there even needs to be a warning, just hit the button. People know the rules, just act decently.

However, what might be an interesting strategy, considering its a payer system, is rather than locking them for a time out, just disable their ability to post/message.

If I need fish for the table it IS essential travel, Just as going to the shops to buy fish is.
At least if I catch my own there will be ZERO contact with anyone else, Which is far safer than going into a crowded supermarket is.

But that is why we have Moderators, to give general averaged opinions.

FWIW,,,I was given a brief verbal holiday a couple of years ago but wasn't for anything nasty or poking my tongue out but a simple misunderstanding of both parties.
