As well as no staff, there wouldn't be need for the Friday AH bar either. Take all those things away from them & there'd be blood running down the streets.

SPOT ON Brian. When that was announced I had the sinking feeling of times past & thought... "Yer know what 4 bee, no-one will have the balls to own up to this & it will be another Gubmint passing of the buck & long drawn out investigations resulting in no-one getting their arses kicked & be given fully paid gardening leave."
Maybe send Border Force (but they ain't) in to do the bastards in they have all created this mess so let them all clean it up.
Was it the fault of the NSW Dept of Health or Border Force?? Ultimately it is Border Force (immigration) that has responsibility for determining whether someone can land or not. The Captain of the ship said that Border Force gave approval to land the passengers as that is the agency he was dealing with.
It is not clear what the processes were and who actually was involved, so we need to wait for the washup on this saga.

Well its become a criminal investigation now.
I doubt we will ever know the truth, these departments being what they are but the initial interview I saw, claimed it was BF but the BF chief gave a strong argument that it wasn't their role & it was very deff NSW Health's decision.
As I said, we may never know the truth because neither Dept would change the facts or tell Porkies. Would they? I suspect they are all waiting for the Police Commissioner(?) to investigate to see who will be given their Bowler Hat & Marching Orders.. [bigrolf][bigrolf][bigrolf]
Well no - I know that is what the media is saying but they covered it earlier - the media is saying it is Criminal because it is being investigated by the Police Commissioner, but he is not investigating it as the Police Commissioner but in his capacity as the Head of the NSW COVID19 Task Force.
Yes it is being investigated but it is not a "criminal investigation".
I suppose it's just one of the results of being 'Girt by Sea.'
There seems to be some confusion. The Police Commissioner, Mick Fuller, has appointed Chief Inspector Jason Dickinson from the State Homicide squad, to lead the investigation. Asked specifically if it would be a criminal investigation, he replied " yes ". And went on to say a coronial investigation may be launched. Sounds like a criminal investigation.
they are saying it is a homicide squad investigation i believe
