Thread: Corona Virus

Another big difference is we have a big vaccination program for influenza, with multiple strains of vaccines available worldwide, but there is no vaccine yet for COVID - 19. In fact, they're not even sure if there is any herd immunity resulting from having had it, with some people already becoming infected a second time. There are lots of coronaviruses out there, but they don't normally jump to humans.

    Absolutely. Coronavirus variants extremely prolific.

The rate of research for a vaccine is a great demonstration of “working for the common good” let’s hope it remains that way in more facets of humanity.

less than 100% accuracy with testing would explain a "second infection"

That's the ying or the good.

Some people are not happy for many reasons yet most are trying not to hurt other or themselves.

Mean while Multiple US protests for people 'sick and tired' of virus lockdown

I wonder how the protestors think the deaths and infection rates are going to reduce when they are massing together

At least one person in this picture thought to wear a mask. Not the right type of course sadly. A song Say and little prayer for me popped into my head when reading this about some Americans.
That looks like a bunch of people who even after being asked "Do you want chips with that?" didn't even get them.

I'd be a bit ****ed off as well.

Did your see one of the blokes interviewed at that protest (and who was actually dressed as a veteran) was almost in tears as he couldn't go and buy garden fertilizer.
