I hear this morning that the Darwin paper in their Sunday edition had a number of pages ready perforated into squares ready to use - and heavily advertised. No word on how it affected their sales.

Seeing as it is a commodity with no supply shortage, the only people rushing out to buy it where idiots that easily allow panic to rule their lives. The shelves were emptied by the idiots two days ago and magically they are fully stocked again today.
The smart people understand how things work and prepare accordingly.

I understand yours and everyones concerns,it sure is worrying.
But for the virus to get through an AC,i still recon very unlikely.
Take for example a small ducted unit, say around 1500 Litres/second.Doctors surgery.Even if there were miniature droplets blown directly into the return air grill, which are usually at high level,it has to get through the RA ductwork, filters, coil, fans, supply air ductwork, then mixed with the supply air,and out a diffuser.Unlikely.
It has to have a host of saliva or mucus to survive.
Deliberately sneeze directly into a wall hung split system AC,it may get through, but there would only be a remote chance that would actually happen.
If someone sneezes into the supply air,of an AC,particularly in a confined area, even in an office,on a bus, train,it could get blown around, just like outside in the wind.
I think we have to keep going the way we are going and try and reduce the chances of getting it the best we can.
Read as much as possible about it.
Wash hands regularly, stay away from confined spaces where there are other people, reduce travel if possible, etc, etc.

I love many forms of motorsport, so I've been looking forward to watching the AGP this weekend.
I note that the Bahrain GP which will be run the following w.e. will now be spectator free, in view of the Virus, which IMHO is a sensible idea.
Whilst it would've been a momentous decision to have to make, I would not have been surprised or upset if our event had even been cancelled.
Round 1 of the Moto GP at Qatar was cancelled owing to the number of people coming from Italy, and the inaugural Vietnam F1 GP to be held in April is still going ahead, but with restrictions.
But no, our authorities are going to let it run "uninhibited", despite seeing several major events worldwide being cancelled, posponed, or otherwise changed to suit this extremely "challenging" virus.
Having thousands of spectators from all over the world entering Aussie at this time is not good IMHO. I know they're all going to be tested or whatever, but IMHO it's a very great risk, one we did not have to have, as evidenced by what is being done with other events, in other countries, worldwide.

A virus that attacks the elderly and sick.
Some would say this is a blessing in disguise.
World is over populated. Sick and Elderly are a drain on the system.
We as a species abuse this fine earth and mother nature is having a swing back.
Me im under 50 and healthy as a mallee bull. I am probably safe.
Given this fine forum has a large number of "older" members i guess ripe for this virus.......
A lot of you should be scared. Scared that 2020 is your last year on this planet! That scared.
Its a fight Australians are going to have to fight one way or another. No hiding from this fight as the Government has not done **** to prevent it.
**** talking, big words and funny pictures wont help. The virus has its preferred target and its likely YOU!
Flu season is upon us.
Some have prepared (and been shunned for it) but most have not. The word prepared should mean something to you old timers but apparently not.
Me im semi prepared in that i could survive a few weeks at home without going out if it was needed but beyond that im actually resided to the fact we will likely get this virus.
So based on that i have moved from limiting exposure to others to just staying as healthy as possible.
Good luck to you and yours though luck has little to do with this reality we live.
There's talk around here that meals on wheels may be recruited for the job. More volunteers will be needed, if that is the case. Going down today to offer my services, if it stops raining. First I will drop into the local politicians office to see if it's just talk. Or perhaps even offer it as a suggestion, if it hasn't already. United we stand.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Scared, scared???????????????????
Scared of what, exactly? Something that, gathering from your post: Quote 'The virus has its preferred target and its likely YOU!'.Unquote, I can do naught about. That line of thinking is unhealthy in itself!
I can't live like that, my friend.
Believe it or not, a thing that has come to my attention over the years is the fact that, the 'Older' the person, the more chance they have of stepping off this planet than a 'Younger' person.
I plan to have a big nosh up in 2023 for my 70th. Stay tuned.
