Corona Virus

My nana in England just got coronavirus [emoji24] she's been in a medical care facility for a few months now. Supposedly isolated and locked from the outside world to keep the vulnerable safe in there, and somehow caught it anyway! She is already very unwell following a fall which is why she's in there. Hoping she's a lucky one who it doesn't affect as bad and she gets through it but with her already so unwell :(
Poor dad was meant to be over there March/April to see her as he's not seen his mum since she was last here gosh, 10 or so years ago. He'd been getting citizenship and saving for thr flights to go there and then a virus comes along and breaks the world and possibly robbed him of seeing her and might take Nana:(
Someone must have been breaking rules for it to even get in there!

On another note, the USA injecting themselves with bleach!? [emoji33] why would they do that and even think it's a good idea? :O (just read through some posts in here:O)

Hope they are keeping her safe. Lot of unreported cases in the UK in aged care homes and private homes.

On another front, I read a reference in a UK Guardian story to a report that a French person has been found who was diagnosed with C-19 BEFORE China even reported the Wuhan outbreak to the WHO.
Just think about that. That raises interesting questions if true.
Was the virus circulating in France before the outbreak in China?
Is the virus far more widespread than was assumed?
Have there been numerous undiagnosed cases and deaths in various countries, wrongly assumed to just be influenza?
The world could be quite wrong to blame this pandemic on China.

Or it came in from China with tourists...check out italy disease stats, I read they are begining to suspect all the high number of " pneumonia " cases before Xmas might have been something else...... Milan has a big Chinese population and Chinatown and lots of people coming and going.

Totally agree re churchez/charities and tax..there are far too many set up for tax convenience..family trusts too. Funny how pollies oppose any hints of reforms for these and other tax/income rorts.

Yep, for example could someone tell me again how 'scientology' is a genuine religion.... ie, passes the Pub Test with a similar margin to..say.... Salvation Army. Perhaps a winning bet between a couple of Science-Fiction writers ?, or a 'revelation' to that same SF author.... or merely a typical 'American' self-help thing....

Yes, be wary of a shotgun approach, one particular church feeds us with breakfast cereals, - (and a non-church arm of the same cereal-making family also sells us sugary-grains..) - and they seemingly have an influence on Dieticians. [tonguewink]

Ready to be corrected, but has anyone noticed with all the miracle 'cures' for SARS 2.0, re-purposed malarial drugs, for instance... Or bleach injections for the Walmart crowd... or Great Expectations for a Redeemer. (Bill Gates) there's been NOTHING said about supporting or enhancing our (FREE), Immune System ?

It surely must be working, if we're now realizing Wuhan Virus has been out there from middle to late last year... and it seems around 85 to 90% get over it - some don't get badly affected. Yet a smaller % are wiped out or worse.

IF we can deal with or minimise infections, then there's more time to build and test SAFE vaccines... and no need to stress about buying more Ventilator$...


Perish the thought, but what if Gina Rhinehart is heading in a better direction? - supplements to boost our immune systems.

Yes, there is a lot of travel linking China with Europe and the USA. It may be that there were many undiagnosed cases floating around those 3 regions well before the first were diagnosed. Deaths may have been attributed to influenza. Its clear it had spread widely in Europe and the USA well before travel was stopped. Maybe the Chinese were simply the first to diagnose it, but it was already widespread on several continents.
