Anyone else been forced to use their leave or been advised to prepare to work from home ? I still have long service up my sleeve so don't mind taking the 5 days off.

I usually do a huge stock up about every 6 months and the last one was 3 months ago so I still have about 3 to 6 months of provisions left.
I have been going to town once a fortnight for a beer and ciggy run otherwise our contact with the rest of the population is pretty limited.
So in reality we are self guaranteeing for 14 days at a time as it is[biggrin]
We are not going away anywhere this winter because of this bloody virus so I have been busy building a new shade house and veggie garden so I will have plenty to occupy myself over winter/spring and hopefully this Corona crap will be all over and we can do a trip to Exmouth for a few weeks before cyclone season starts again next year[thumbsupbig]
I wish I could post a link to First Dog on the Moon's advice on what to do while quarantined during a pandemic, but some spoilsport would probably claim it was political, so I won't.
I can report no signs of Coronavirus in the free camp at Hall's Point near Penguin north of Devonport. Settling into a juicy red before dinner while watching the tide roll in and penguins frolic.
Maybe all those worried about the virus should take two weeks off and head down to the South Island, also known locally as Tasmazia.

Wonder if making people take their leave for quarantine might be counter productive to economic recovery? Always the question of whose going to pay.
If 'patriotism' could generate revenue to pay employees then that would be the only business I'd be in. Lets hope fiscal policy will provide some reality.
Might be the opportunity to increase new start and abolish waiting periods etc?
Sick pay. It's called sick pay cause you take it when you're sick. If you have it, take it. Holiday pay is for holidays, not for being sick.
Stupidity demonstrated. We make our toilet paper here, so there is no shortage because of Coronavirus in China. Why are people stockpiling? This is why the Darwin Awards exist. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dddb10ca2e.jpg
I hope you are doing a trip report,we are going down towards end of next month,i have never been there, although SWMBO has.
I am hoping its not too cold and wet.[thumbsupbig]
Actually i can't wait to get there.
But that could be because i can't wait to get away from work[bighmmm][biggrin]
As i said on another post we haven't bought any for three weeks, now we could do with some.
SWMBO went to Coles this morning, none.
So i call them this arvo, and the lady at the store said they got a huge truck load in today and it was all gone in half an hour.
She said call back tomorrow around 9.30,as they will know if a truck load is coming in tomorrow.
Anyway, its no panic yet,and there is still paper towel, and tissues, on the shelves at Coles, and the paper lands on the driveway every morning[biggrin]
Churchill today had toilet paper and other important things. Morwell did not.
