Corona Virus

An interesting presser from the NZ PM. Seems the question about a trans-Tasman travel bubble has been handed to PM Morrison. If it is to be established between individual States and NZ then state border controls have to be effective and remain so. Worrying considering what I read within this forum about lax controls, train-rides, smuggling Victorians in trucks (are they valuable?) etc.

I've been thinking about this for a while and haven't seen the media or pollies address the issue.

What happened to all the homeless people during the state wide shut down? Are they impacted by the current lock down post codes? are they just being ignored and left to wander the streets, have they been rounded up and confined in temporary accommodation, are they being Covid tested..........? OR.........?

At the start of the pandemic in NSW they were given alternative accomodation but I don't know how long that lasted.

Don't be too hasty here. For a long time the TV media has had the ability to change backgrounds to suit themselves and such are their skills that the viewer cannot tell if the background is real or a substitute. In fact they have done this to me several times when being interviewed by them.

Rumour has it Victorians are flying to Ballina, renting a car, driving to the Tweed, parking and walking across the border to Coolangatta, but it's only a rumour, so I'm not vouching for it. I'm sure the cops would be onto it down there.

That "man is a disgrace to his country, his people & the world oh, & to himself so it is quite easy for me to be hasty when it comes to him, but I take your point, seeing is not always believing.

The NSW/Vic border is to be closed from tomorrow night.....

Not yet, only 1 community transmission over the last week in NSW, but we'll know for certain in two weeks.
