If the right checks are being done it does not avoid border controls but then Qld has a bit of a reputation for poor checking eg two bimbos and a consular security guard - surely checking is more than just where a flight originates (what no checking of home addresses etc - QLD then blames everyone else for their poor processes.
Straight forward....took about 1min
whats the rational behind a curfew in vic?
virus is more active at night?
Bout time some of the crap was directed at the scumbags perpetuating the wrong doings of evading controls & regs then continuing to blame The States and the people trying to get things right . Must be very frustrating to have to deal and explain the lack of non compliance each day .
Bit of jail time would be the go .
There were 700 Covid cases where the source or sources of infection could not be determined.
The number of daily new cases was sorta stable but not coming down as desired because the unknown source or sources could not be managed.
I suppose the rationale for the curfew is twofold......... get the new case numbers down by curtailing transmission without knowing the source and maybe to make it easier to discount possible sources to determine the real problem.

We didn't have a curfew with our lockdown in NZ....but you were likely to be pulled over by police and questioned if out and about...as an essential worker, the only reason I had for being out(in the middle of the night), was work, and I had to carry a letter validating that.
I am guessing that the curfew in VIC, is to lessen the workload of authorities having to stop and check people, which can't be a bad thing.
