At the census there were 116,427 homeless people counted in Australia. [ Not sure how they counted them] What has been planned for the homeless?
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

I think the sad reality is that there is going to be a much higher mortality rate among this part of the population as well.

I see our fearless leader has said he is not going to the football tonight, what about those who decided to go on his recommendation?

They will learn why people are more important than money.

    I'ts not easing off

Our son is a fussy eater & only has white bread vegemite slices for lunch & lately has been suffering blood noses, so we went shopping last night for tissues & white sliced bread -Aldi first, they had no bread of any sort except gluten free, no eggs, obviously no dunny paper or tissues, no noodles, flour, rice & bugger all frozen meals or pies etc. I normally buy 6x diet lemonade & there was only 2 left, so we went on to Woolworths, much the same there, only a few packs of bread rolls on the shelf being the difference. Shoppers there said Coles was no better for bread or tissues.
Wifey decided that an early start was needed so got up at 6am this morning & went to a different Safeway- and still no white bread or tissues, so on to Aldi again & queued up 45 min before opening time- there was a dozen in front even then, by opening time there was 200 waiting, carpark & nearby street was chocka full of cars & before opening a manager walked down the line reminding all that there was a limit on 1 pack of toilet paper per purchase. Persistence paid off & she got both - & a pack of dunny paper for good measure.
If that's what is now, you have to hope it gets no worse.

My grandchildren who were booked to go to Japan next week have changed to August. I would not bet that doesn't have to change either!

Health is one side of this crisis, but the other is economic. Already banks and others are abandoning attempts to raise capital. This can only get worse before it improves.

All travellers to NZ, except from the Pacific Islands are being ordered into isolation for 14 days.
Cruise ships told to stay away until June 30.

And in Hobart today cruise ship passengers were prevented from going ashore.
Major cruise ship companies are cancelling cruises in coming months.

Sounds like it is time to buy your own Bread maker, provided they haven't been scooped up as well. Just need the ingredients.

Can't help you on the tissue issue.
People wonder why there has been a rush on the basics, but at least if you have those in quantity, you can be a bit independent.

I reckon we have to get used to these shortages, certainly for the next 2 months. Welcome to WW3.
