I'll certainly be keen to get an Aussie vaccine, whether it's the UQ, CQU or another one, because I know it will have passed proper stage 3 testing with a large number of participants.

Your doing well, after 10 i gave up counting and that was quite a few years ago.
Yes,its my fair complexion, and the Qld outdoors...,and living for quite a few years on Fraser island, surf fishing nearly every day.[bigsad][biggrin]
In fact i have another that needs looking at next week, but it may be a BCC.
Anyway,back on topic.
We have now been tangled up in the Covid outbreak at the Wacol motels for the undesirables.
First, late Friday, we were ordered to have a Covid test before we could do any work on site. All our staff can't do that at once as we would all have to self isolate, until the test results are known,so we were going to stagger it,two of us went first on Saturday. No result yet,but it will be negative.
Then late this afternoon, the one staff member that has been on site, within certain dates, is requested,by QH,and QCS, to have a test and must self isolate for 14 days.
What a PITA,he was on one site for 1 hour middle of last week.
And its not the hotspot site.
So we have now asked them, what will happen if they have a break down and need us urgently?
Their answer was they can't answer our question.[bighmmm]
And we need to be guaranteed that if we go to site, with PPE,that the staff member will not have to isolate for 14 days.
Unless it is at their cost.
They couldn't answer that question either.
More than likely we will make the business decision not to go to any of the sites until this is all over,if they get a breakdown, bad luck.
Had your Vit. D level checked recently ? - Seems that Vit D3 is an essential nutrient for a strong, functioning immune system, and living in a sunny clime does not automatically mean you have 'good' numbers. Diligent observance of Slip-slop-slap will almost guarantee that ! [bigsad]
Despite recent public pronouncement(s) HCQ is, - but only when used with adequate zinc, effective in slowing virus replication when used at the first inkling of symptoms. Preferably before... Relying on it when hospitalized is...... almost too late.
Or substitute the natural supplement quercetin for HCQ.
- Eat lots of apple-skin and oysters ! [biggrin]
And no other contracter is going to go...[biggrin]
Can you imagine, security clearance takes 6 weeks, then it is a Covd hot spot, and on it goes[bighmmm][biggrin]
We are dealing with the Govt here, and they really have no idea what its like in the real world.
Oh well,life goes on.....[biggrin]
Oh,and they did ring our staff member 5 times this arvo from Qld Health, then at 4.25 this arvo is an email explaining all we have to do from a lady in the Cairns regional health district?????[bighmmm][biggrin][biggrin]
'er indoors chucks some Gel encased thing at me each morning with my other bits. Could be arsenic for all I know.
[bigrolf]
Living up here in Winter & not getting one hell of a lot of sunlight, Cloud, Fog we were advised to take these. But must double check since you mention it but I believe they are Vit D ? I have an olde Colgardie Cool Safe with Zinc water panels so I suppose I should have a nibble of that each day.[bigrolf]
Seems they are D3 as the GP or Pharmacist recommended.
