This expert says they should copy the examples of NZ and Vietnam and focus on test and tracing, social distancing and border controls.

NOT everyone on board was infected, and of those who were infected, not everyone became unwell, and of those who showed symptoms, not everyone needed to be hospitalised. and.... of those, not everyone died.
Yes, too many passed, partly due to this virus acting in a novel way, so 'treatment' was not as effective or as fast as we'd like.
And who of us can recall the worldwide panic of those previous PAN-Demics, Avian, and SWINE Flu.

Note the comments made about the sales pressures from certain (many?) Vaccine manufacturers, and the abysmally low % of Germans who wanted to be vaccinated against Swine Flu, compared with how many millions of doses the German Government had already signed up for. Oops !

Unfortunately as in the community it is not the Cruise ship or the town or city that is at fault but the so-called humans who decide to get on these ships infected instead of staying home ( " I have paid my money so i am entitled to get on board " ) and then fail to follow any directions given to prevent infection , been on plenty of cruises and the behavior of some passengers is enough to make you puke .

But the point was, not everyone is infected simply by lack of Social Distancing from the Deadly Plague Victims.

This seems a good summary of how Victoria has improved it's contact tracing system and is now able to jump quickly on outbreaks. Hopefully it will mean restrictions can be eased for our poor old Vic friends, who have had such a tough time. You gotta feel sorry for them.
