The state's chief medical officer said until a patient zero is found, they can not be sure they are gaining ground on the spread.
"My anxiety is that we haven't found the direct transmission route," said Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant on Thursday.
She said without that, authorities can not be sure they have "locked every transmission line".

Esterman points to recent changes to Victoria's hotel quarantine system, where all staff working in the program are employed or directly contracted by COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria (CQV), with the exception of cleaning staff who are on secure, fixed term contracts with Alfred Health.
"So the workers in the hotel quarantine system, whether they're cleaners or cooks or security guards, are either employed by the Victorian Government, or if they're private, they can only do that one job in that one location, and they're all tested daily," he says.

I've had many long discussions on this topic with a very switched on Psychologist, we are the creations of our environment, particularly between the ages of 0 and 4.

Abour the only think that is hard wired into your personality is where you fall on the introversion/extroversion spectrum, and even then we can modify our natural inclination, introverts can learn to socialise, extroverts can learn to stop and be by themselves.

The real danger to Aus now is int'l arrivals, which is why I think air crews should be among the 1st to get the vaccination, and maybe even start a no jab, no fly into Aus policy for crews.
