Daughter is supposed to get married in May, location wedding in the Hunter Valley. between the airlines and now the max 100 people rule with 1.5mtr space not sure whats going to happen... oh and quite conveniently no refund if cancelled and a fee to reschedual if the date is changed , with only a mid week option available as weekends get premium priceand the venue doesnt want to loose money....

Really makes me wonder , thing has killed less people here than we have killed on our roads , not to mention the amount who succumb to the flu each year.... the way the world is carrying on its like something out of a James Bond script...

oh well back to work whilst i still have a job...

They are not the only vehicle manufacturer that will be in trouble, but the smaller ones are at more risk.

I notice in Aus,company plant and equipment 100% right offs have been upped to $150K,until 30 th June.
Last time this happened, around 2008,all of a sudden new car prices increased, particularly commercial vehicles.
No doubt that will happen again.
Ford, GM, and Fiat Chrysler in the USA are shutting down. And Tesla is arguing with the local sheriff whether the shutdown of their car manufacturing order he has made is legal, as they supply an "essential commodity".

The expectation is 3% can die from this and the expectation is most people will be infected at some point.

Simple maths now. Current Aussie population is a trickle over 25 million so we are looking at approx 750,000 deaths as it stands now based on EXPERTS not me!!

We typically get around 1100 motor vehicle related deaths a year.

Well the only panic buying items at my local are - Meat, pasta, toilet paper, hand sanitiser and eggs. Plenty of fruit and veg, bread, milk, cereal, fresh and frozen meals, etc. I'm guessing at some point people will run out of space in their freezers and things like meat, etc should become available again at some point.

My Son who is a Manager at Woolies says the warehouses are starting to get on tip of the rush as they are traditionally stocked to a lower level at this time of year, but they are bringing stock back to Christmas levels to cope which they are almost at.

Hopefully everyone's spare rooms are getting full of dunny roll so I can go and buy a 4 pack or so as I will need that in the newt couple of weeks.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Some 'Official Information' on the other end, of this Deadly Contagion.

Successful High-Dose Vitamin C Treatment of Patients with Serious and Critical COVID-19 Infection

But if any family member is unfortunate enough to be seriously (ICU-bound) afflicted, then 'Good Luck' with getting the hospital and/or doctors to treat with IV Vit. C. ! - as the family of Allan Smith of NZ found when they had to battle for this life-saving therapy.

See that '60 Minutes - Allan Smith Swine Flu' video.
    YouTube

Which generates more 'Terror' ? A potentially fatal and incurable disease ? - or one which can be effectively managed to the point of Cure ?

Its not the locals panic buying here in Morwell.

Its people from Melbourne and even Geelong traveling all this way to take our stuff.

They hit all big shops close to main roads. Go to smaller towns like Churchill and they have pretty good stock.

I assume its too far off the main road for these melbourne scabs to travel.

Not knowing the local area is a blessing. The local chook farm has truck loads of eggs, as well as the local farmers who sell meat packs. (both we traditionally use anyway)

Although meat packs are getting popular and we have to book in advance.

Glad to see the AFL decided to buck the system.

Aussies need there football especially during these times.

So all is not all bad then, you could have a future in the Undertaking or Cabinet Making/French Polishing lark if you wish to retrain.
