Now the Eurovision Song Contest has been cancelled. Sacre blue!

I see Tasmania has just announced all non-essential travellers will be sent into isolation for 14 days on arrival. Good thing we got in when we did.
I wonder if Victoria will do the same when we come back. We could be stuck in Tasmazia indefinitely.

    Pickles.
My guess is Pickles, is that stuff will be hoarded & be put back into the market via E-Bay etc at hugely inflated prices when things get dire.

Having the cops & a visible police car outside of Supermarkets may just be what is needed for some of that low life/pond scrapings.

    Pickles.
As I have been Bulk buying ALL the TIME for the last 3 or more decades (It's the way I usually shop) So this mad rush on the supermarkets by the lunatic fringe doesn't really affect my ability to be able to help my family and friends if they desperately Need some stores.
However our habit of bulk buying has rubbed off on our kids so even before all this craziness/madness started they are also well stocked up on essentials.
At some stage Sanity will prevail and the stores will have the time needed to get stocked up again and everything will return to normal and the paranoia, panic and Fear subsides when the Nutters realise that we are NOT going to run out of stores and they stop their Madness.

Listened to the ABC this morning, some nurses were talking about how the public seem to be giving them a wide berth if they are in uniform. One Woman who worked in an emergency department, wanted to take her children to a GP , when quizzed about contact with the virus, she told them she was an ED worker, and was refused access to the GP. Another nurse had been working in a coronavirus test facility, fully suited up, and needed an appointment for radiation treatment, same thing. Refused an appointment. Now these were their stories as told by them. This is getting ridiculous. And it hasn't even started here yet, not full on anyway. The road ahead could be rough.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

    Movies, any one.

    Creating safer spaces at HOYTS

We are committed to keeping our guests and crew as safe and comfortable as possible and have made changes to our offer.

We now have even more room in our extra spacious recliners by introducing seat separation to our cinemas, so everyone has extra room to safely enjoy the movie.

It means you’ll have a free seat on either side of you. Planning to come with friends and family? No problem. You can sit next to them by moving over, therefore leaving extra seats between you and other guests.

In light of today’s government advice, we have also made changes to ensure that available seats in each auditorium remain fewer than 100.

In addition to the above, we continue to:

    • Regularly sanitising surfaces with virus cleaning on high touchpoint areas and surfaces
    • Cleaning seats thoroughly between movie sessions
    • Putting up hand washing reminders in our bathrooms.

As the situation changes, we’ll update these steps as needed.

We also ask for your support in keeping our cinemas clean and safe, and encourage you and all of our guests and employees to:

    • Always practice good hygiene and wash hands frequently
    • Place rubbish in the bin at the conclusion of sessions
    • Cover coughs/sneezes, dispose of tissues & make use of the available hand sanitiser
    • Refrain from attending the cinema if feeling unwell to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone

We thank you for your on-going support.
