That will be the procedure in our end of the street, a few oldies here. The fit will look after the not so lucky. Hopeful it won't come to that, but we all need a plan.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

One of our relatives, a young mother born in China, who talks regularly with her mother, who is currently quarantined in China, has proudly shown off her freezer stuffed to the lid with stocked provisions. Yesterday she came home with 12 cartons of eggs! Asked why she said it was good to have reserves and she liked to be able to share with the family here. Maybe they can have an omelette party.

It's only Quarantine if you are in the Quarantine region in France otherwise it's sparkling isolation.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

That'd be your current Deodorant doing that, Steve.

Re the Chinese baby formula knockers. Don't shoot the ****ing messenger ok!

I post on what I observe like others do, as for sorting it out, I leave that to you.
Plenty of links & quotes get posted here that I also believe are utter crap but I stay schtum. (sp?)

PS. My " newest best mate" the French neighbour who I have belittled on here has just left 2 x bottles of his Terre de Terre Rose & a kind note offering to do shopping for us if we need it &/or anything else he can help with.

He's up to something, I just know. Or maybe not.

Seems a lot safer Mass gatherings are now the boogieman plus

The conflict of shutting and not shutting is a world wide issues "The UK is to shut schools - but they will still need to look after children of key workers"

Doctors, nurses support staff and cleaners are key workers. Looking after us make it difficult to impossible to look after kids. The fall back of Grandma and Grandpa is a real risk to Grandma and Grandpa. Of course Doctors, nurses support staff and cleaners and our families are a key high risk group making childcare to enable people to go to work so much harder for those with younger children.

"One NHS doctor told the BBC that front line healthcare workers felt like "cannon fodder" due to inadequate supplies of vital equipment such as face masks." I feel that frustration daily
On a brighter side I noted "Two US Navy hospitals ships will also be sent to help relieve an expected shortage of sick beds.". HMAS Adelaide and Canberra are both floating hospitals (two Canberra-class landing helicopter dock ships).

Schools in the UK will continue to look after the children of health workers.
Schools are also putting their work online so students can study and submit from home.
The school I worked at here already had everything on line, so there is a precedent for this.
The flu was already a major problem in schools, with sick students sent home to avoid infecting the rest, so this can work.
Schools are cesspits of disease from snotty kids sent there by parents who should have kept them home. The biggest risk to school staff is being infected by diseased kids.

Yes, on just ONE condition, and that is, that what they need, is available to be delivered to them.
In Melbourne, many of the most sought after items are "seized" by greedy selfish "people" in large quantities, so that many, some much more needy people/families etc, are unable to buy what they require.
