No Bull****, but needles have never worried me like that but I did get a bit excited when the Media kept showing footage of folk "getting the jab" & in many cases the needle looked to be about 30cm long but of course it wasn't, it just looked it. Seems deffo Psychological, or is it?

Any replies on a page of dunny Paper.
    Never understood it.
Having said that, I don’t *like* having injections. I tolerate them and that’s all.

Yet I watched them cut my thumb up, and take to it with a bone cutter!

Any day of the week I’ll happily sit and have 10’s of thousands of needles for a tattoo..

    Go figure!

Just had the flu jab, as did the new 1st year. (We need it for work, straight into an aged care facility after)
And the nurse was very good, I didn't feel it.

One of our young techs will keel over so he's going to the doc for it.

Well done Channel 9, good to see that your presentation is up to its usual (lack of) standard.

    A correction - sort of.......

Pfizer blood clot case: Brisbane man would be first vaccine recipient in 200 million to have linked clots

More like Pfizer pointing out the bleeding (see what I did there) obvious to a stupid media.

Why not just give them all a "Covid India Commemoration Turban" a bag of the finest rice, a roll of dunny paper & bugger them all back off to whence they came?

Re Oxy Tanker leak. yes I saw that & was waiting for a gigantic explosion that would have put Beirut to shame as they ran in & out of the Oxygen Vapour Cloud. Gunga was probably having a gasper as well but no explosion? Amazing, their religion must protect them from that sort of ****. Possibly.

Maybe someone hadn't yet got around to finding an Oily Rag?

Why would you be waiting for an explosion? Oxygen does not explode.

Had a natter to indoors last night re this. In her case she explained, for the first time before.

When they left the UK yonks ago from Tilbury they all had to go to some sort of Army facility to have injections for East Africa. She listed them but I can't recall all atm.
The usual stuff Cholera, Typhoid + 2. ??

Then when they arrived in East Africa she then had the Malaria one. I would have though that should have been prior to arrival???? So five jabs all up.

Point is, each time, she was forcibly held down by Male "Nurses" including for the Malaria needle & she recalls screaming her head off (so that is where it came from? )

She said she was terrified each time. So that explains her experiences so I guess that was pretty common back then, Post War.

She has never revealed this previously so I wonder what else the little minx is concealing?

So the signs one sees around hospitals etc "NO SMOKING. OXYGEN IN USE" are superfluous right?

OXY + Oil? In Trade Training this was always stressed. I never bothered to find out if it was correct or not though I simply believed they knew what they were on about & I wasn't prepared to put it to the test.

EDIT.[QUOTE]Oxygen under pressure and hydrocarbons (oil and grease) can react violently, resulting in explosions, fire, and injury to personnel and damage to property. Never allow oil or grease to come into contact with oxygen under pressure.

    • If burning ash falls from a cigarette and starts to smolder, the extra oxygen will foster a flame. Depending on where the ash falls, there may be enough fuel to start a significant fire. The oxygen would make the situation that much worse.
    • An ignition source is needed to light a cigarette. Oxygen could cause the flame of a lighter to flare or a lit match to burst into an unexpectedly large flame, leading to a burn on the person. Or it could cause them to drop a burning object onto a potentially flammable surface. Oxygen flare-up fires do occur in emergency rooms, so the risk is present, although somewhat reduced in a home setting.

Good enough for me not to mess with it.

Very droll Ian. Come to think about it now 66 years on, there were a lot of rellies shouting the odds at the reception. I did wonder as I just thought it was the booze talking.
