WA Premier said Rottnest might be the last resort for liner passengers - and it might well be for some.

Anyone who is travelling long distances purely for recreational reasons are being completely selfish and ignorant and hopefully the WA (hopefully other states as well) government WILL crack down on the self centered behavior.
Many of us have cancelled our annual "Pilgrimage" North because of this virus and the risks that we could pose to all the people at roadhouses, towns and campgrounds along the way, So what makes all these arseholes that are doing this so bloody "Special".
They ALL Need to pack up and bugger off home and think about other people for a change

New word for the dictionary. How about Eevocateur? Still thinking about the definition, although would be happy for you (Eevo) to define it.

Same could be done for the Pilbara but this is complicated by FIFO mine sites and more roads to manage, then it gets more difficult as you move further south... I think the SW would be lumped with the Metro as there are already cases here and there would be literally hundreds of roads to manage to prevent leakage through back roads.
Yes , the leakage through back roads could be an issue , I would think the Military could be put to use here if it escalates beyond police capability.
At this stage I think the division will be the existing regions ( Kimberly , pilbara, mid west , south west , great southern etc.., hopefully Perth will become a region by itself for the time being

I went to Dan Murphy's this arvo. They have an 18 bottle limit on wine to reduce hoarding. I saw a few people being turned back from the checkouts even though the signs were everywhere.

I have never had an extremely high opinion of people when in a group. EG Herd Mentality.
The way many/most people have behaved since the start of this virus thing has done the impossible & made my opinion of people even lower.
I suppose we have become a very selfish society?
I think being locked down in Doomadgee for a while away from the selfish (not to say some people here aren't), self centred & rude will be OK.

PS I hope I don't give people a reason to think of me like that.

I'm going to buy wine for my breakfast. It might help with this remote schooling thing. Milk has a 2 bottle policy at Woolies to stop hoarding. 2 litres of soy milk before I have to go back into that diseased cesspit again rather than doing a normal weekly shop. It's not exactly like Soy is something people hoard.

Australia doesn't have enough PPE 's for the Hospitals, let alone Aus. Post. The US had a pandemic plan, and committee until You know who sacked the committee. Australia thought about a pandemic plan, But nothing much came of it. Something to be spoken about in the wash up, I guess.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

My mother taught me out west back in the day. It didn't help that Dad would saddle my pony early and sneak me away with him. I'm so very glad they are not here to see this. I can just see him with his stockwhip, at the counter in Woolworths, ……………cranky old begger.
