Had cause yesterday to do some shopping.

Found ourselves in both Aldi and Bunnings.

The number of people out driving and shopping...I include myself...under the current circumstances was actually mind boggling.

It looked like a very busy day in both shops.

I think the staff were a little overwhelmed.

If that was happening all over SE Qld then anything could be expected to happen next week or week after.

Bangkok news from 3m is not positive

The point US U.S. hospitals need mask and are getting them from any where they can is a shared issue all over the world. Taking shipments from others who have similar needs and placed the orders and paid for them in existing contracts with 3M which is a world wide supplier is in my view very very unfriendly- Such is Life of course. Noted 3M "also has said it would import 10 million masks this month from its factory in China, which earlier this year was restricted from sending goods abroad."

As long as they leave or helpful Shepparton Company for us. At the Aus Army is helping there I suspect its covered happily. Lemnos mask maker to hire 40 staff as demand skyrockets

Worrying times. Our son in laws brother works for the Comm. Bank, was in New York until recently, then transferred to San Francisco. Married a lovely girl from Ecuador. She has just finished a course of Chemo., for breast cancer, and have had contact with an infected family. Awaiting results of their test. Yes I think most will have some one to worry about.

Found an interesting article on artechnica.com. It seems that if the authorities want to find out how effective their social distancing measures are, it is dead easy.

Ask Google. Google does not know where you are, but does know where most smartphones are, and they have produced an application that compares the average movements of smartphones, by local government area, compared to what they were doing before social distancing measures were implemented.

It is dog eat dog in the USA, especially New York. One report from a source I have not seen before,[ so I can't verify it] I'm a bit iffy to post it, but if even only a fraction of it is true, you just shake your head. I'll put it in CA.

Captain of the USS Theodore Roosevelt sacked for lack of judgement after asking US Command to put his crew into isolation and taking the ship off line.

It wasn't so much his asking , but the fact his E-mails were published in the public domain, thereby telling the World one of the US's major weapons was effectively out of action, that forced the Command to make an example of him. Tough love. They had no choice.

I hope all comes up clear with both the Breast Cancer, the COVID-19 test and the her immune systems restoration after the chemo.

No one is asking at the moment, just waiting for the message. This will be repeated many times over, before this is over. The only time I've spoke to God as much was way back in the Vietnam War. Hope She's listening. edit. almost forgot, thanks.
