What they don’t seem to take into account is the observed elimination of pollution in China after their lockdowns, or the empty streets filmed in Beijing, Shanghai, and the reports by correspondents in China. But were they really there (on the streets) or standing in front of a blue screen and the background added as is usual. Could the Chinese Lockdowns have been arranged to provide a cover?

Beijing was in lockdown from late February to only a week or so ago - people were locked in their houses - including the ABC correspondents there.

Actually thats not quite correct, when we were kids we did go on an ocean liner, from West Africa to the UK,in the late 60's.
But, from my memory, that was no cruise ship.
Ah yes, but that was probably what I would call "a real Ship"

Teak everywhere, brass fittings, creaking Cabin Doors, salt water to wash with, Special Sea water soap, no Stabilisers & vomit everywhere during the rough days/nights, & not a piece of plastic or fancy glass to be seen.

Stopping to take on Coal at distant Ports with strange sounding names & fascinating perfumes drifting in the breezes from passing lands..

Was it a Troopship Paul? 'er indoors had many a trip, nay Voyages, on Troopies with her family. Spoilt rotten by the crews & Troops who hadn't seen their families since they had left the UK.

Maybe I had read too much Percy F Westerman in my yoof?
