"The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday said it had granted emergency approval to the first in-home test for Covid-19, a nasal swab kit that will be sold by LabCorp.The agency said that LabCorp had submitted data showing the home test is as safe and accurate as a sample collection at a doctor’s office, hospital or other testing site."
Not so sure its claim its as accurate as usual tests done by pathology nurses or Doctors. That seem doubtful for a number of reasons

My dear wife has undergone one and administered a few C-19 swabs and has explained to me, in detail, how 'Uncomfortable' it is.

Netflix has gained 15.7 million subscribers worldwide in three months, double what it had expected, so we know what lots of people are doing while isolated.

The NSW State govt is ramping up testing and want to basically test everyone in Sydney.

One of the protest trucks in a convoy against the lockdown in on of the the US cities had 'Jesus is my vaccine' and a picture of Trump as Rambo on it.

They truly believe it's a hoax.
They don't believe the stories and numbers reported.
Its like the Sandy Hook and other mass shooting deniers.
Even an old friend of mine here has been posting anti vax and conspiracy stuff on FB, claiming it's all a plot so we will all be chipped and bar coded.

She's actually quite smart, but the delusion and denial is strong in a lot of people.

It comes down to what is happening is against the narrative they want to believe, so they don't.
It's too painful to change a belief system, so they deny.

Agree but the logistics of building that amount of storage would take literally years even if it was decided today to do this. Where, who’s paying, who could even build them at the moment - there aren’t that many companies that can build tanks the size we are talking about here, let alone multiples at once. Sadly there isn’t enough vision from anyone to plan to do this as it’s all about the almighty dollar and no one would want to foot the bill.

Perfect time for infrastructure projects, and it seems the current govt agree as they've gone all Keynesian in their response to the current situation.
