It's been suggested that since Taiwan was hammered by the (Chinese origin) SARS, they deeply distrust anything to their West... and made early and efficient preparations which included flight restrictions and quarantines. Back in February. They also knew person-to-person transmission was going on.

IME if it's an injury the first question they ask is if it happened at work.
