Huge reduction,as there is only,as reported,30% of the normal number of vehicles on the road.

But the comment was speeding fines are up 70%,in Qld.

My thinking is we were already in a sluggish economy, interest rates are flat, economic outlook looks grim. So this is the start of a largish economic flattening.

It wasn't a matter of if but a matter of when.

I hate to see it happen and a lot of business and people will suffer from a downturn, but its a large reset switch to put things back into a level playing field.

    I hope I'm wrong.

    That's, it a RESET Switch.

It is a good opportunity for any business to have a good hard look at themselves & decide to get shot of International Call Centres for a start. It is a bad business that needs a bloke or sheila having breakfast on the Kitchen Table to run their business while the Co is closed or overloaded.

That is my No1 suggestion. Tough luck on those who were recruited for those jobs OS, but Aussies must come first .

I'm sure there is a lot of deadwood that can be trimmed out of some Company's activities. Travel & accommodation costs to interstate & OS for junkets could probably get the arse as well. It has been proven it can be done by internet & text. We have had many successful TV Interviews satisfactorily done over the last couple of months albeit a bit scratchy sometimes.

I'm sure there is a lot more that can get the chop.

I wonder how the rugby league can restart and comply with the 1.5m social distancing rule - wear gloves and play touch?

Our son who is in digital marketing says many companies which already had a good online marketing setup have done well and seen business rise, but those who had not taken digital marketing seriously are scrambling to catch up.

Looked at our figures, for last two months we are up quite a % on last year for same period,in fact way up.
    No IT,no hand outs here.

And if we jab this huge job we have just tendered,we will be super busy, working weekends, etc. Not that we need the extra work, but it should keep us extra busy during the traditional slow times in winter.

As some have said, this downturn will sort out some of the badly managed businesses, and some of the bad tenants.

Although there are also, unfortunately, some good businesses that have had to shut completely that won't survive.

Maybe those ORB ball suits could work.

There is a 48 page document that each player must follow, which is stricter than any thing the rest of the country went thru.
