Re trade, there were posts on this thread talking about trucks needing permits to cross the border - what were the restrictions?
And if you want an example of what is the wrong way to approach the virus, look no further than this. And no, it is not the USA.

Those people that are flapping their gums about the border closures being "Unconstitutional" need to think about the reason why the borders were closed in the first place, They were closed to save lives.
So which is more important arguing about the constitution and trying to force some States too open their borders to all and sundry or saving lives
Agreed, Trout. Those who want to argue the Constitution should read this first.

In my defence, it mentions tax. Makes as much sense as much of the talk around this lately. Good luck with understanding our tax laws, not even the ATO does, sometimes.

Impose any tax on property of any kind belonging to the Commonwealth, nor shall the Commonwealth impose any tax on property of any kind belonging to a State.

Looks like 4bees rant worked. It's got the thread up and buzzing again.

I see NSW has now had 50 of the 101 Covid-19 deaths in this country, and has new cases again today, so that's a pretty good reason for other states to want to restrict movement out from NSW to their states.
Its a pity certain Qld-based federal politicians are irresponsibly trying to turn public health into an issue at the upcoming Qld elections.
Maybe Qld could open its borders to residents of the NT, WA, SA, Tas and NZ, since they are doing so well, while keeping up the barriers to the other states until their figures improve.
