The spread of Covid-19 is based on two factors ,

1 How Dense The Population is

2 How Dense The Population is .

Reading the actual regulation has, I think, cleared up confusion.
Some media statements just say Victorians are banned, but don't say it's actually that anyone who has been in Victoria in the previous 14 days is banned from entering Qld. Qld has declared the whole of Victoria a hotspot.
Qld residents who have been to Victoria in the previous 14 days can quarantine in Qld at their own expense. Everyone else is just being turned around.
They have issued 314,000 border passes so far, and they are only current for 7 days, so that's a lot of people planning to come into Qld in the coming week.
The tourism industry is loving it. Hotels and caravan parks are reporting high bookings.
It's the last weekend of the Qld school holidays, so that's another reason it is busy. Maleny main street was bumper to bumper today, including caravans.
I guess the message from the 'Queensland: good to go' marketing campaign is, get out and see the place, but keep social distancing and hygiene practices going.

That is another reason that it can all go tits up in Q. The Tight arses will lie, so they won't have to cough up for Quarantine. A family of four for instance, emmachisit? Heaps I should think, unless they can hole up in their own gaff.

And so it is, but you also need to look in the context of 39,000 tests in the same period. We already know it’s rampant, so increasing testing is going to increase confirmed case counts.

Personally being stuck here, the resulting additional lockdowns in and out of the hospital system have made life very unpleasant and difficult. Still, it is what it is.

It's suspect its not looking going to look good anymore for NSW thanks to the travellers. Lets hope that the great wall of Victoria that Glady's builds does its work. What a day for QLD to reopen its borders.
    Cheers

Will get worse as those already infected but showing no symptoms start to get sick in the next week. Hopefully by this time next week, the numbers should be peaking, then drop over the following weeks, but that all assumes people are smart enough to do the right thing, and I have my doubts about that.

I expect to see a retraction when that does not happen.
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Apparently if you walk or ride a pushy across the border from NSW to QLD you do not need any documentation as the QLD Police do not have the power to stop you.

The back packers have sussed this and today a group of backbackers on a bus got off on the NSW side and walked across the border right past the police and then hopped on a bus on the QLD side and continued on their way. If they had stayed on the bus they would needed permits and these would have been checked by police and if not correct, returned to NSW but walking across none of this is relevant.

So a back packer who was in Melbourne before the shutdown would have been able to get into Qld even though you needed a pass to get in.

Like all the times you’ve hung it on Vic (Not Corona related) and got it wrong so many times - I’ll accept your retractions on all of those then... Corona Virus
