Three women charged under the Public Health Act
Detectives from Task Force Sierra Linnet have charged three women for allegedly providing false information on their Queensland border declarations.
Police will allege that all three women travelled to Victoria and deliberately provided misleading documents at the Queensland border.
A 19-year-old Heritage Park woman, a 21-year-old Acacia Ridge woman and a 21-year-old Algester woman have all been charged with one count each of providing false or misleading documents – Section 364 of the Public Health Act (maximum penalty – 100 penalty units or $13,345) and fraud (dishonestly gain benefit / advantage) – Section 408C(1)(d) of the criminal code (maximum penalty five years’ imprisonment).
Police can also confirm that all three women are now cooperating with QPS and Queensland Health officials.
A criminal investigation is also being undertaken by Task Force Sierra Linnet investigators which is unrelated and not connected to the alleged travel to Victoria.
All three women are currently in quarantine and are due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 28.

Mask or McDonalds bag. Either would be an improvement.

I saw this on the news and thought that is an unfortunate choice of words as the SAS's main job is killing people 'SAS of the medical world' arrive in Victoria to help fight growing coronavirus outbreaks from Victoria coronavirus response boosted by first Australian Medical Assistance Team personnel as cases in aged care continue to rise - ABC News

Thank your deity of choice mask wearing hasn't become partisan political here.

The congressional underclass erupts in fury after Gohmert gets Covid-19 - POLITICO

Back story, the member they are talking of here who tested positive has been one pushing the 'hoax' and 'blown out of proportion' line for quite a while.

Now it appears they are part of a little traveling crime syndicate Their Mum's comment seemed to suggest little hope its isolate. Are they the traveling wilbrurys? Mum was in Sydney

With re-flashes in Singapore, Vietnam and dozens of other places which had seemed to get Covid 19 under control months ago suspect we are in a containment only mode for a long time sadly.

Mean while in Vic idiots going to work with confirmed Covid19 still have me wondering about the effectiveness of authorities actions. I am glad is public as "privacy" hiding important information from us such as a person coming to your work place each day with confirmed COVID19 is insane plus. This needs fixing immediately.

I thought one of the rule is ," If you feel sick do not go to work " , " go and get tested " . Not decide what illness you may or may not have , at the end of the day family's will not starve in this country .
I can sympathies with all the the issues raised about feeding family's etc , but the BIG issue is to stop the spread or flatten the curve .

The reason for the community spread of the virus is people not complying with the rules . Eos .

The problem is people will put personal needs above the community needs.

Will I have a job tomorrow if I don't turn up today? Is a strong motivator for a casual or part time worker who has no sick leave and living week to week with no savings buffer to lean on.

And as mentioned above, some employers are making people take annual leave instead of sick leave when they've been sick with the virus.
Sometimes it'll just be a payroll error, but employers and employees are both human and some will take advantage of a situation without thought or care for anyone else.

Spoken like someone who's never been so desperately poor they can't support their Family properly. There are plenty out there that can't - a sweeping generalization like that does no one any good - time to pull your head in a bit IMO when you are clearly out of touch with reality on such subjects.

I get where you're coming from I really do, it IS people not doing the right thing as you've said - no question about it, but ranting and raving about it from the other side of the country to those who are here isn't helping - there's a huge range of reasons people do what the do and motivations for breaking the law here - a lot of it to do with money - you can't switch that thought or feeling off in people, it doesn't work like that.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
