That's out of date, I think.
The Premiers statement today, which I watched on ABC, is the one to go with. Regional Victoria moving to stage 3 with masks from 11.59pm tonight for 6 weeks.

"May you live in interesting times" ............................. well there's certainly a tick in that box here in the 'State of Disaster'.

Where we live (my wife and I, kids have moved on) here in West Gippsland we're now classified as being (just) inside the metro area, so have the same restrictions, level 3 increased to level 4 the same as Melbourne metro even though we are totally rural ie. cattle, sheep, dirt roads, acreage etc. but that's the way it is, broad brush I guess.

What I find vaguely amusing (and in the State of Disaster you take humour where you can ), is that our post code and all the post codes surrounding ours have not had a single covid-19 case ever ! But here we are a danger to all and sundry, well and truly 'sent to Coventry' by all others including those that actually have covid-19 cases Lets call it a 'statistical anomaly' , **** happens or whatever but definitely 'amusing' in the pure definition of the word.

Well now we're at level 4 and no complaints really, I reckon Dan Andrews has had the patience of Job in trying to manage the various **** wits down here but now we've got a fair dinkum disaster declared the rules change, no airy fairy bull**** from BLM muppets or people with 'rights', the gloves are off and with a bit of luck these selfish individuals will be squashed like the vermin they are , about time IMO

The only issue I really have is that we live more than 5 Km from the nearest supermarket so this had better be over before the freezer or beer supply runs out ............................... or can I 'stock up' on my periodical visits to my out of area mistress ? (ps. don't tell Kaye)

If you live outside of metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire you should wear a face covering when you leave home if it is difficult to keep 1.5 metres apart from others.

    • Wearing a face covering protects you and your community by providing an additional physical barrier to coronavirus (COVID-19).
    • Keeping 1.5 metres between yourself and others and washing your hands are still the best defences against coronavirus (COVID-19).
    • The recommendation to wear a face covering does not apply to children and people aged under 12 years, individuals with breathing difficulties, and those who have physical conditions that make it difficult to wear a face covering.
    • Outside of metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire there will be no enforcement on the use of face coverings. You will not be fined if you don’t wear one.
    • You must wear a face covering if you need to go to metropolitan Melbourne or Mitchell Shire for one of the four reasons: shopping for food and supplies, recreation or exercise, medical care and caregiving, and study or work.

Thanks but the Dept of Health says differently.

AND there seems to be the problem or one of them. Confusion with statements from this one & that one ad nauseum Who does one believe? Do I? Don't I? ****knows.

What also ****es me off is turning into a Supermarket Aisle "WOW it's empty." 10 seconds later someone comes into that aisle from the other end & continues on down.knowing full well they will not be keeping their distance. They may or may not want to purchase something but you usually find they are taking a shortcut to somewhere else in the store. Then another time they will want to crash "Your" aisle & study the goods even handling the same range of product that you wish to buy. I know, they don't have a crystal ball or not that I've noticed but "just get the **** out MY aisle & then you can have a free go"

Thanks DM but it was from a Health Dept document dated "From 11:59pm on Sunday 2 August.

    However there is a conflict.

The preamble in the document agrees with you but the detail in the document is as per what I wrote.

For interest the preamble says - "From 11:59pm on Sunday 2 August, face coverings will need to be worn by all Victorians when they leave home, unless they have a lawful exception."

I will go with the detail. The detail in the document is extensive and very inclusive of just about any situation that you can think of.

"No? Well here is a Woolies/Coles free plastic bag to tide you over. Just cut some arm & neck holes in it".

"Wossat, you'll report me to my Boss?" No can do Deidre, I am the Boss."

Your choice. I would go with the Premiers statement myself. Masks are even recommended now in NSW and SE Qld, so I would be very surprised if they are not required in regional Vic.
