Printers, toilet paper, flu vax, meat and pasta

I am over it officially now. One of my several printers broke today. Easy to replace except everyone and his woof has brought them all. Shipping two from another state now. O.M.G.

Toilet paper back in stock as it was never at risk. Flu Vax- No worries now- Meat- never really a issue once the freezers of the nervous were filled. Note Chest freezer sales have been off the planet apparently

Pasta masters hoarders are out done by the stocks as required despite their panic. No half reasonable compatible printer forcing me to now have 3 types of toner and drums for them

Actually first in best dressed. I did have a spare for work but nicked it for home schooling the kids myself

Another impact of the travel bans, cant see any Kiwi shearers going to WA this year with a 2 week quarantine in each direction despite neither place having any COVID.

Surely the WA brown or rainbow Trout would put them up for a couple of weeks, just to stop them shearing in Vic.

The stubbornness of Premiers who want to get elected - NSW agreed to allow ACT residents (no Covid here) to travel from Victoria straight to the ACT but after a few hours reneged after ACT people got the special ACT travel permit and started travel north. They are now holed up on the Vic side of the NSW border sleeping in cars.

The ACT Government has offered to provide a police escort from the border in a no stop convoy but NSW will not have a bar of it. Maybe time ACT to close its borders to NSW and the other States so your pollies cannot come back to the ACT and give us Covid.

If the people in charge keep “topping up” the job “finder” payments, all these jobs in the rural areas will be left vacant
Take away the job “finder” “top up” and you never know who might be a shearer unbeknown to themselves
Even picking fruit might even come naturally
Back before Centrelink, if you were hungry, you had to find a way to make some money to buy food, not just sitting on your arse playing x station and living it up on $550 a week
I speak to so many of today’s younger generation who wouldn’t dream of leaving mummies big soft ball of cotton wool to get a job in the country, especially when they are getting a good wad of cash

No we don’t all need extra money to be able to live with COVID-19 and we have a shortage of backpackers to fill the jobs, we have a glut of people hovering around the city’s getting a good supplement to encourage there lack of initiative
How’s about an incentive to get these people into the rural areas to work

altho i agree, its not rocket science. if the govt is paying me $550 a week to sit on my bum vs 200$ a week to pick fruit, i know which one im going to do.
