Glad to see the story about numbers not being released was wrong.
Sorry to hear the actual numbers.
This link says animal owners can travel out of a lockdown area to care for livestock.

    2. As the Polish Embassy said, they'd expected to sell them to lower and middle-income countries, not supposedly developed ones:

"Poland has recently offered to share vaccines mainly with low and middle-income countries, including its Eastern neighbours, Balkan countries etc. The decision to also add Australia to the list was taken against the backdrop of the current outbreak of Delta variant in the country, following the talks between both countries’ officials, including the Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers.
After swift completion of all necessary procedures, the delivery will land in Australia shortly. Poland commends Australian authorities for excellent collaboration in a first joint operation of this kind and hopes that the provision will support Australia’s efforts to ramp up its vaccine rollout in this critical moment."

    2. 530,000 of the doses are going to Sydney. Victoria gets about 150,000.
    Dziękuję Ci

Lets face it NSW needs help- The GOLD standard quotes and ridicule from a NSW person or two must really stick in their throats as the asked for the extra special treatment

I bet the vast majority of the extra doses go in to western Sydney. The case numbers may be high, but there are several high quality hospitals within say 20km. How many extra doses will find their way to Dubbo or Walgett (or Wilcannia or Cobar) to protect those with limited close medical support? Or to replace those doses the government "reallocated" from the regions to Sydney last month?

What type of farm? I admit, I was back in the late 50's early 60's, If you mentioned Hobby farms back then they would have laughed at you. Even on agistment you have full responsibility for their welfare, and will be the one who will be charged if they are not adequately cared for. If you live a long distance from the agisting property you could negotiate that the agisting property owner, or manager, takes responsibility for the livestock, or takes on a lesser responsibility of periodically checking the livestock, and informing you when an issue arises.

Are you going to guarantee the person leaving the hot spot to tend the animals would not go into town for a beer, or counter lunch, or even coffee? Do they have to report to the local Police on arrival, and departure? Hobby Farms would have to be under similar rules to agistment, surely. They couldn't just do what they felt like, and indeed the biosecurity issues are enough to determine you have either a manager when you are not there, or someone tasked to periodically inspect the property in the event the Hobby Farmer was otherwise engaged in his daily employment. OR, in lock down. Just common sense. Not much of that about nowadays.

Well hopefully these about to expire doses are put to the front of the fridge and get used up nationally before the fresher stock does. We don' t want this expensive stuff end up in the NQR stores so to speak as it's expired as nothing surprizes me these days.

1,000 are going to Walgett I think I heard, either that or 350. They are worried about the indigenous population, my aboriginal mate who lives in Brighton and whose family lives around Walgett told me there are already cases in the community, he doesn't know how many, but some are children. He's going to update me with what's happening there at the pub this afternoon.

I saw that. Sounds like NSW will be awash with Fizzer this week.

Everything in moderation Des. Besides the grand kids came over [ with their parents, ] and we had a pleasant afternoon , didn't get to the pub. But I see him most Saturdays having a punt in the Brighton. We go back a way, he was the groundsman at the Brighton Juniors back in the day when my Dad & I coached /managed sides there. A handy footballer in his day, his brother was a very good coach ,ended up coaching a Qld under 18 side, then became a selector. Natures gentlemen, both of them. Until they got angry, then look out!.
