I definitely don't do that on footpaths as police would pull me over haha. It's actually a tad scary that fast on one. This is my scooter 'The Enterprise'
    Looks ripe for a chip.

I now have funding approved from the NDIS its taken just over 4 months, now I have to go through the process Via a co ordinator and the OT to get my electric wheel chair designed to fit my needs and manufactuerd after the quote is submitted to NDIS. so I think it will be closer to xmas before I'm mobile. With the virus things are realy slow.
I need a chair as a scooter would not be practical for me in the house etc..
There are 4wd chairs . avail in camo or flames

congratulations on NDIS!! I was recently accepted on it too!!! I hope your electric wheelchair is sooner than you think They look fab! I have a mate with the top one.Super cool with flames! I preferred the mobility scooter as the power chair I was a bit uncomfy on and it made me dizzy, house has been an issue as scooter as you say, does not fit, but I have a manual wheelchair coming with a smart drive to power it and push for me. Currently have a wheelchair on loan but self propel is a struggle as have upper body disabilities as well as legs. There are so many cool mobility devices these days, it is wonderful My trusty landie will be having some different modifcations done to assist me to keep driving as well.

I love my D2 My Impala is under the tarp, and my HQ panelvan is between it and my disco. They are about to go into a shed and be locked up safe and sound and so I can work in them a bit easier. I am my own woman again so finally able to get stuck into my metal loves Bonus my dad is now home too as his work has slowed with the virus so he can help me with things now haha!

For a lark one young copper suggested they bag the old guy on a trike on the footpath. Bad decision. Grandpa blew 0.32. So they had on their hands a heavily intoxicated frail aged citizen and his scooter and no facilities for either. Tried to hand him off to City Watchhouse who took the attitude "you **** the bed now you have to lay in it". Next offered him to PA Hospital who take sick people not old drunks. Grandpa got parked at a reluctant Coorparoo police station until he sobered up enough to be driven home and his scooter delivered next day. I gather that Inspector and Senior Sergeant were not impressed and the booze bus crew got tongue lashing and had their cards marked. I wonder if any got shifted to delightful rural outposts like Urandangie or Thargomindah.
Depending on the scooter would determine the outcome now:

Some are considered Pedestrians, no license required etc.
Other more powerful/faster units are considered a vehicle and subject to road laws (including mobile phone use).

In Qld. you can be and will be charged with DUI on a bicycle, on horseback, driving a sulky, and definitely on a mobility scooter.

And electric skateboards, sedgway et al, basically any motorized or wheeled vehicle.

    Complimentary Wheel Chairs at Bunnings

You must not have a rating system for mobility scooter types.

And DUI can only apply to anything recognised as a Vehicle under the definitions Complimentary Wheel Chairs at Bunnings
A skateboard is not a vehicle.
