    Back on topic,

Apart from sitting around waiting for the second wave to appear, the grandkids came over.

SWMBO decided it was time to go fishing. So off we go to the local dam, with ham as bait.

Second cast, hooked a small eel tailed catfish. So i quickly gave the rod the the 5 1/2 year old and he was so excited to catch his first fish..Got it off and put it back in the water.

Third cast,i put the rod down(just a little cheap 2M Kmart rod with egg beater reel) to go get the young grandson to hold it,and rod, reel, line, dissapaered into the water as we watched it.....

So that was the end of that.

It was too cold to go in and look for the rod, hopefully the fish will get off it,and we will find the rod once the weather warms up,and we can go in the water..

With travel allowed now, I am expecting my grandkids for the July holidays. The ten year old will almost certainly want to swim in the dam - last time she was here there was only six inches of mud in it, but it is now up to swimming level - but I for one definitely do not swim in the dam in July! I don't think the others will want to either.

Rustle up a few hundred Immersion Heaters, leave them plugged in for a fortnight before her arrival & she will think you are an amazing Gramps.

    Job done.

Water temperature does not seem to worry her! (or air temperature for that matter).

How would you feel if that Grandkid of yours passed it onto you or your wife? Very real potential to kill you.

Amazing, reading back through the posts how you flip and flop to suit your own wants.
Did you consider the possibility that when he developed symptons he did the responsible thing and got tested? No, I thought not.
As for the granddaughter infecting us, how can that happen when we haven't seen her for a week and won't see her for another week? Plus she's not sick.

If any of them had been responsible, there would have been no mass gathering. These people must have a shoe size greater than their IQ.

Lockdown/Stay-in-place situation, What are you planning to do?

    Higher risk group - Indigenous.
Large portion of those at protest - Indigenous.
Talk about a complete lack of risk assessment!

Once again Mick, you look at it all from your own selfish perspective. ANY of those ****wit protestors could potentially take a virus back to their family.

You know those flip/flop posts I said you make - well one of them was the 14 day incubation period not being limited to 2 weeks. Enjoy your visit next week, she might be asymptomatic

Round 2 of this virus is about to occur, it’s already mutated multiple times as it’s travelled the globe. Keep taking chances and eventually luck will run out.

Does your head make clunking noises when you attempt to think? Lockdown/Stay-in-place situation, What are you planning to do? Lockdown/Stay-in-place situation, What are you planning to do? You must be having a moment? Or is it only when it only applies or impacts you that your tune changes?

Obviously he was tested - the next day when he developed symptoms.
The point is that NOW they have to contact trace a mob. Wasting resources and time.

Would you like me to start quoting all the posts you made about selfish people, self isolation, responsible behaviour etc? Stop being a hypocrite.

    Guess what?
They have finally, sort of, lifted travel restrictions around Doomadgee.
We can now travel to Cloncurry, Mt Isa & Normanton. Not to the East Coast or NT but better than nothing.
They lifted the restrictions on Friday, unfortunately due to not knowing this was happening I was not organised to go & see SWMBO & kids.
So next Friday the 3 Boys & I are on the road to Cloncurry for a long week-end. Monday, Mt Isa to get a recall done on the work ute (Yes, we will be driving the ute) then Tuesday back to Doomcity.
You have to have proof of residence to get back in so I better remember my ID.
One of the Boys will stay in the Curry to start school there, the boy that goes to boarding school wants to stay there until his school reopens so SWMBO will have a full house.
I will only have 1 home with me.
