‘Regulations’ is the collective noun for loopholes, they’re full of them.

What you did was to read the regs and then Use the loopholes in them so that you could travel interstate for your own selfish reasons.
My definition of a "Loophole" is something that allows people to do things that the Regulations fail to cover regardless of how Wrong or morally corrupt that action is.
It is also a Very common occurrence for people that take advantage of these "Loopholes" to defend their selfish/anti social actions which in many cases are to the detriment of the rest of the population by quoting the regs.

The rules are the rules. Thousands of people obey the rules every day.
The borders of the states and territories with border controls have never been totally closed - that's why they are called border 'controls'.
For example, a large number of NSW people cross into Queensland every day, because the rules allow it for work, study or other reasons.
Every state with border controls has similar rules. I know because I've taken the trouble to read them.
WA people can cross into other states and territories, for example. SA is open to people from Tasmania, WA, the NT, the ACT abd Queensland. NSW and Victoria are open to everybody.
If people choose to be uninformed that's their choice, but they can't criticise other people because they do their homework and obey the rules.

A road can have a 100kph limit, if that road is covered with six inches of floodwater, it is not sensible or responsible to maintain the limit, regardless of the rules allowing so.
You left Queensland to enter NSW, a state with many more incidents of the dangerous virus, then return to Queensland, potentially bringing the virus back to start an outbreak here, to spread exponentially.
That behaviour was irresponsible and selfish, regardless of legalities.

Comments from the guy that once whinged about big companies using the loopholes (read RULES) to avoid taxation.

The rules are certainly the rules.
One of them also stated avoid non-essential travel.

Simply put Mike, there is no spin that can justify your nonessential sojourn .

Rubbish! I went to an area that hasn't had a C-19 case for over 70 days, after having a test to ensure I was negative. All rules were more than complied with.
The Premiers of both states are encouraging people to travel safely to regional areas to restart battered economies.
You really need to get over it.

WA residents CAN go into other states But IF they want to return then they have to be in quarantine for 2 weeks on their return to WA.
Like you say in QLD you CAN go to NSW/VIC and return But anyone with half a brain or at least a little bit of care for his/her fellow Queenslanders wouldn't do this.
What you did was self absorbed, Irresponsible and thoughtless.
You even had the audacity to "Skite" about what you did
